Under your scenerio the Commanders would go to Dallas and the Giants would go to Chicago.

I think Seattle has to be on that list somewhere.

MY Picks -

NFC WEST - Seattle - They are easily the best in the Division
NFC EAST - Cowboys - This will be tough, but I see it happening
NFC South - Carolina - Tampa is fading, and they are rolling
NFC North - Chicago - The best in a very weak division

Wild Cards -
Atlanta - The only thing stopping them is Carolina
NY Giants - They will be tough all the way through and if Dallas does not win the division they will.

check out the final 8 games for NYG... they have had a cakewalk the first 8 games IMO... their test is this second half of the season

Yhea, I agree!

Our 2nd half is no cake walk though. Whoever wins the NFC EAST Will definetly have earned it, and will be battle tested going into the Dance.

There seems to be a definate top 6 that everyone likes. I'll make mine a bit different.

NFC East: Dallas
NFC North: Chicago
NFC South: Carolina
NFC West: Seattle
WC#1: Atlanta
WC#2: St. Louis

St. Louis sneaks in as the final wild card team as Tampa, Washington, and the Giants all fade away.

What's it going to be then, eh?

1. Seahawks - they take homefield easily but fold like they usually do

2. Falcons - Win the second seed and the bye.

3. Giants - they win it late and get a home game

4. Bears - get the final wildcard home game

5. Panthers - get the special gift to go to Chicago and beat them easily.

6. Cowboys - get the last wildcard spot and go to New York.
------------

Panthers/Seahawks - Panthers
Giants/Falcons - Giants

Panthers/Giants - Panthers

Back to the big show for Carolina.

I like our chances if we can win the division or snag the fifth seed and go to Chicago. We match up best against the top teams and the only team that I think is close to loss would be New York. If we win the division or get the fifth seed, we could easily sneak into the conference championship.

can't have 2 teams from the nfc south with first round byes. assuming the panthers win the division, the falcons can finish no better than 5th. bears, if they won their division would be no worse than 4th.

Realize this is not as much about who the best team is as much as it is about playing out the remaining schedule.

NFC West: Seattle HFA, 1st Bye
NFC South: Atlanta 1st Bye
NFC East: Dallas, Hosts wildcard vs New York
NFC North: Chicago Hosts wildcard vs. Carolina
WC#1: Carolina
WC#2: New York

My thoughts:

Division Winners

South - Carolina - 6-2 right now finishes 5-3 for an 11-5 record, looses to @chicago, @buffalo or @Atlanta, and Dallas. Jake Delhome (sp?) is hot right now, he will cool off.

West - Seattle - 6-2 right now, also finishes 5-3 for 11-5, looses to Indy, @Philly, and one other game. Seattle is soft and over-rated, Dallas beats them if not for an errant pass, Seattle's only saving grace is ease of schedual.

East - Dallas - 5-3 right now, finishes 7-1 for 12-4, looses Kansas City or @Carolina, all of the other games are to important to loose. If they win these next four look out, they are the best team in the NFC, if not...wild card...maybe...

North - Green bay 1-7 right now, finishes 8-0 to go 9-8, making the most incredible come back in history, and allowing farve to leave with dignity. No, not really, Chicago will win this division with a winning record, maybe?

WILD CARDS
all right the wild card wont come out of the north, so:
N.Y. , Atlanta, Washington, St. Louis, Philli and T.B. all have shots.

T.B - Chris sims, enough said, they wont make it.
Philli- nope, your not that good anymore, cant win off pure talent and with Mcnabb hurt like he is, and more of a hurting to come, will be out of the race in the next three weeks.
St. Louis-
just hanging on right now, but with the tough schedual they have coming up, they are just not good enough, maybe if the schedule was easier, but its not. Martz goes to Houston in the off-season.
Washington- I dont like Snyder, so they wont make it.
so that leaves:
Atlanta -
currently 6-2, finishes 4-4 for 10-6, looses to Carolina, Green Bay (go farve, first win in streak of 8), no really they will loose to GB, @ tampa and @ chicago. Team looks allright but I just dont see them winning tough games in the cold or outside really, yeah I know they won at Lambaeu (sp?) a few years ago but miricales happen, but only once. ON TOP OF that: VICK you are not that good of a passer and people can criticize you when ever they want whether you say they can or not, who do you think you are? A manning?
N.Y. - currently 6-2 finishes 5-3 for 11-5, looses to Dallas (who actually does not turn the ball over 4 times this game), @ seattle, and @ oakland, maybe @ philli. Sorry Eli but winning in San Fran does not count as a road win, and beating the saints at the meadowlands at a road game (what?) does not count either, i have no faith that eli can win the tough ones on the road and to win the division thats what he would have to do, Eli your good, your gonna be real good, maybe, but not yet.

So
1
Green Bay (Chicago) vs. Giants
Carolina Vs. Atlanta
2
Seattle vs. Giants
Dallas vs. Carolina
3
Dallas vs. Seattle - Vengeance is ours Josh Brown!

I second this.........Carolina is on a roll...and that scares me when we face them and come playoff time.

Just to be different...

NFC West: Seattle HFA, 1st Bye
NFC South: Carolina 1st Bye
NFC East: Dallas, Hosts wildcard vs Philly
NFC North: Chicago Hosts wildcard vs. Atlanta
WC#1: Atlanta
WC#2: Philly

We squeak out a win on Monday and then Philly goes on a rampage, Giants stumble away from home.. I swear the 49ers had a chance last week early on, Commanders... I haven't figured out how... but they screw it up when Portis and Taylor incite internal mayhem after back to back loses...it will go something like.. "the coaches won't let us call da plays...so we have to run the wrong stuff....that's why we losin.. I can only do so much"
