Hall Beat Up In Falcons Locker Room?

HALL BEAT UP IN FALCONS LOCKER ROOM?

There are uncorroborated rumors making the rounds that Falcons cornerback DeAngelo Hall was beat up, presumably by one or more teammates, following a Falcons loss that was fueled in part by Hall's inability to control his emotions.

After being flagged for a total of 67 yards on a second-half drive that the Panthers used to tie the game, Hall got into a sideline confrontation with coach Bobby Petrino.

We don't know for sure whether Hall was indeed roughed up or otherwise accosted by teammates after the game, but it wouldn't surprise us to find out that the rumor is true. Hall is a brash and outspoken member of the organization, and his Virginia Tech ties to Mike Vick probably have prompted some in the locker room to view him differently in the wake of Vick's legal troubles. Today's actions would have potentially been enough to get a frustrated Falcon to convert hostile feelings toward Hall into action.​

He played really well against Smith yesterday, legitimately shutting him down.

I didn't watch the game, anyone know what those 67 penalty yards were from? I'm assuming a good chunk of them had to be from pass interference and probably a personal foul?

Several personal fouls- he got into it with Steve Smith several times, was shoving him after the play, looked to be cussing up a storm, then leveled one of the running backs with a late hit. I think he had 3 personal fouls in a row- I had the game on but wasn't paying much attention to it until I kept hearing him getting flagged for personal fouls.

Petrino will get a free pass this year due to the Mike Vick issue and then get to Draft his Golden-Boy Brohm with their first pick in the Draft. I suspect that although he is not happy with his current situation, he is probably taking solice in that.

I can't see how they dont take Brohm unless Brohm just tanks from here on out. All the other bad teams have their young QB already.

What got him so fired up? He didn't seem to be that upset after TO spit on him last year. Where I don't agree with his teammates beating him up after the game, it does sound like he did his best to help his team lose. Shame.

Yeah, I watched much of that game yesterday (on NFL Sunday Ticket).

Hall did a fantastic job shutting down Steve Smith. At one point Hall got what looked to be a bogus personal foul call against him for a jarring hit on Steve Smith. Hall lost his cool and acted foolishly.

He is a truly outstanding CB, but his lack of poise is a real problem.

I can't see how they dont take Brohm unless Brohm just tanks from here on out. All the other bad teams have their young QB already.

We can only hope so, since that team seems to be the worst in the league by leaps and bounds so far. No way the Browns could keep up with that!

Hall is NOT a truly outstanding CB. He can on occasion get it done- but he gives up way too many big plays and his mouth always over runs his ability.
