This is according to Rob Phillips on the Talkin' Cowboys radio show. He said Hamlin's injury is his groin and Gurode with his knee/ankle. Hopefully we'll know more information soon!

Just means more reps for Watkins and Mike.

Maybe we finally get to see Mike Hamlin this week.

Yikes. As much as the coaches may like him, that's a little scary against what is still a good QB and offense.

Man, I hope Hamlin heals up. Our defense would be a mere shell of itself without his weekly big plays.

He has to start somewhere. Why baby him?

That's true, and I'm sure he'd do fine... Especially as smart as the coaches said he was.

I do think that as average as Ken has played, he is good at making checks and getting people lined up, and that would be tough for a rookie playing his first game.

I guess I'd rather he got the first pro snaps of his life against Jamarcus Russell. :)

Hamlin has actually been tackling quite well the last few weeks. If he has to be out, I'd rather it be one of the two weeks following GB. But, what will be will be. Let's hope whomever we plug in there makes some plays for us.

Last year we used a lot of 3 CB's and 1 S against GB. Maybe this wont hurt as much, since GB uses so many 3 WR's on conventional run downs?

Do you remember when Pat Watkins got to start as a rookie and ended up crying on the sidelines? That's why guys get "babied", sometimes they just aren't ready to be pushed out of the nest and you'd be setting them up for failure. A coaches job is to put his players in a position to succeed, not throw them to the wolves and hope for the best.

If Hamlin can't go I would expect to see Watkins filling in. He has the experience and understands the defense allot more than a rookie. Not trying to knock Mike Hamlin but communication in the secondary I think it pretty critical and Watkins is much more familiar with it

If Hamlin doesn't play who starts?

Ball, Watkins, or Mike?

I'd hope ball.

Wait, what? Watkins cried on the sidelines?

I doubt they's play Ball at SS so that probably leaves Pat or they'd move Sens over and Pat would play FS, but i don't like that idea at all with Sens playing so well as the QB of the D.
