Dang, if they get any closer, they'll be on the other side of one another. ;)

I thought of writing it like this: "very,yrev"

For emphasis. ;)

i dont think so, best i remember reading, i heard like the cowboys were offering hamlin 30 million for 5 years, and hamlin wanted more due to the fact that 3 safeties were signed for more. Best I remember those 3 safeties signed for 30, 33 and 39 million, which Hamlin views himself as beging better at a higher price.

So, thats why I put the offer Cowboys have at about 40 million for 5 years, I dont think Jerry Jones is going to go above that. There was reports and a reporter asked Hamlin about the rumors that jerry jones offered Hamlin a big contract offer over the weekend. Which Hamlin and his agent turned it down. So, seems to make sense if the cowboys had offered 30 million and Hamlin turned it down, then Jerry had to offer at least about 35 millioin over the weekend.

So, I am thinking somewhere from 35 to 40 million is what Hamlin is looking for. Sense Hamlin thinks he is better than the safeties signed and the highest one was for the Raiders I think, then seems like that Hamlin wants about 40 million.

Now, Hamlin did laugh when asked how much he was worth and Hamlin said 50 million for 2 years. Now, I hope that was a joke, joe But i am beginning to wonder if hamlin wants 40 milion or more.

If that happens, I'm going to be so pissed at you for putting that out there and planting that seed of suggestion. :D

Don't fall for it Jerry.

Sorry Joe, but that isn't even close. There is a large difference between 8 million a year and a 6 1/2. He basically got what the other safeties did in free agency.

Why do people think that RW will be gone next year.

Many of them are incapable of evaluating his play honestly because they're mad that he's not better. I'm as big a RW supporter as there is on the board, but I do think that signing Hamlin and having an option of moving Henry to FS gives the Cowboys three starting-quality safeties and puts Roy on a hot seat this season.

I believe people are hard on Roy for the same two reasons I am.

1) He was a legit All-Pro his first two seasons, especially the first season. I'm not just talking pro-bowl, I mean All-Pro team as in one of the two best safeties in football. He really transcended the position. He moved and covered like a safety and hit like a LB. He wasn't just a great defensive player, he was an intimidating and truely dangerous player. He hurt people often. And not just with the horsecollar move. The first couple years it seemed like he would knock out a player every other week. You couldn't put a price tag on that level of intimidation.
All that came to an end in his 3rd year. He's played the last 4 years at a level slightly above to slightly below average. All players eventually "lose it".
It's just not supposed to happen after 2 years. When you have an unexplained illogical drop off in play like that, you end up blaming the player.

2)
Roy was a lifelong Cowboy fan. He was the last guy you'd expect to have his career go south at such an early age.

i am still hopeful on roy,

i admit i was one of the fans that have gotten on roy for his poor play;

sometimes a person has to have their manhood questioned, to motivate them to what they formerly were and be that person their suppose to be;

i understand about roys new christian attitude and i respect that, but i take that another step further, one of the greastest cowboys of all time Roger Staubach, would fight you to the end, he never quit, and gave it all he had. Roger knew he was representing the Lord in a positive way. So, Roger played like that.

That to me is the way Roy needs to redo his career, with the attitude where the Lord says, give it your all, do your best.

so, i am still hopeful that roy plays his best this year. And i think with campo being here now and knowing roys ability and talents, he can draw up plays that are best for roy, and put him in positioin to win.

roy, in reality is kinda where T O was after his first year in dallas. We all know how Parcells didnt like T O, or viceversa. Yet, when Jason Garrett and Wade Phillips came aboard, T O excelled. I think could be possibly be the same thing for Roy this year, with Campo directing Roy, keeping on Roy to study fiilm, work out, stay in shape, even getting roy in coverages in practices where roy has to cover TE's, RB's and possibly WR's some, That way, Roy will have to play like Nate Newton said that Jimmy Johnson did with Darren Woodson.

Johnson had Woodson cover Michael Irvin in practice and Jay Novachek, sure it made darren uncomfortable, but Darren Woodson got used to playing against good players, so when game time came around, Woodson's wasnt as uncomfortable, and Roy would be more prepared come game time.
