I have a new respect for athletes with hammy issues. they are very painful and cause a lot of discomfort. I got my first one today while I was doing a clean and press workout. I vow to never criticize miles austin or any other athlete who doesn't play due to pulling a hammy :(

It happens again, we're gonna have to cut ya!

;)

pulling them right where it meets the glute is the worst, quads are just about as bad and right when you get back to about 85-90% health and you have to go full out is when you end up pulling it again.

clean and press workout = getting box of donuts off the top of the fridge

I have been nursing one for a few months. I don't know how they give a timetable of 2-4 weeks.

Have you ever had leg cramps in the middle of the night while you're sleeping. Talk about leg pain. So I do have a little understanding of hamstring pulls. They "ain't no" joke. Very sore.

No thankfully I've never had leg cramp in the middle of the night. But I have had a foot cramp (when you're toes begin to curl up) while driving! Those are no fun :(

I half a deal with my hammy. It only gets to act up at training camp.

You must be made of glass. Who's your strength and conditioning coach b/c he should be fired.

I really do wonder how many players in the league use HGH and wonder if that is why we see so many more ACL tears and Hamstring issues league wide. Whenever you look at injury reports well over half the players have leg issues. Are the muscles getting to tight for their own good?

Maybe muscle imbalance, haven't you noticed that most NFL players or athletes have over developed quads compared to their hamstrings? Which might also lead to more knee injuries. I was always told to strengthen the Hamstrings to help prevent knee injuries. I believe the Hamstrings play a huge part in supporting your knees. Maybe a correlation there. Just a guess though I'm no expert on the matter.
