While I agree with you on Dak for the most part.

You give any QB not named Mahomes the skill positions after Pollard and Lamb that Dak had to deal with this year and they fail too.

When Noah Brown is your number 2. There is a big problem. This FO let down all of the fans this season by once again sitting on their hands. There are only maybe 3 QBs in the league that could win important games with the slop we trotted out at WR. Burrow has 3 number 1s for cripes sake lol.

What does really suck is if Dak even had a mediocre game. We beat San Francisco. So regardless of what the FO does or doesnt do. Dak needs to be the guy. And he isnt. I am interested to see what a new scheme that is actually tailored to his strengths does for him.
I disagree, Mahomes wasn't left with no names after Tyreek Hill was traded, they signed JuJu and MVS, traded for Kadarius Toney and drafted Sky Moore.

Except when it comes to the QB

He has been semi-critical of Dak, but he quickly pivoted to the Jones's and Kellen being the reason why they lost in San Fran which isnt the case
The Joneses are why we ultimately lose in the playoffs, either they're hiring a HC and saddling him with and OC that has more power than him or their total refusal to add elite players via free agency.

Stephen has said time and again that the long run strategy is for the Cowboys to run a draft and develop team and fill in with cost effective FA. That is what they did last year and that is what they will do this season. If you don't like that move to the Eagles board and adopt the Eagles as your favorite team. Oh, they like their guys and will only do long term contracts for the ones that hit. Just the facts.
First of all, Stephen’s long term strategy doesn’t work. Secondly, cost effective is different than being effective on the field. Just the facts.

You guys kill me with the excuse making
You all did the same thing with Romo and his mediocrity and repeated failures

The Joneses are paying him 42 million/y and they do want to win even though they have no clue how to do it. do you really think they would not get him the help he needs if he walked into their office and told them he needs better players?

He doesn’t do it because he does not want the pressure to win. Exactly the same as Romo. There are people happy to be “good enough” and people who want to be put in a position to deliver under pressure. He is not that guy. Both Dak and Tony are company men, say the right things, don’t make waves and stay ‘relevant’ and live the cushy celebrity lifestyle

Even if thats true, we all witnessed a winnable game if the QB doesnt turn the ball over

If you want to say well the Joneses are the ones that paid this QB, fine, but to blame the coaches for this fool’s boneheaded INTs is dumb.

Funny how that HC and OC combo looked absolutely fine against Tom Brady and crew the week prior

Are you talking about a Bucs team that went 8-9 on the year? That's what we're hanging our hats on now? That offense worked well against them but has yet to put up over 17 points against the 49ers in the playoffs.

If you get a chance, check out the podcast. Jesse Holley talked about how other teams were bettering themselves while we like our guys. Nothing he said was any different than what we've all said on here but the fact that he had the cajones to say what he did was quite impressive.

He’s calling Jerry out in the past.
No afraid to speak the truth.
Unlike that shrill Spagnola!

Let's be honest, was it truly ever open?
It wasn't. And I know Dak isn't the answer but nothing's going to change after he's gone. Our only hope is that Stephen changes things once he takes over but I think he's going to be worse than Jerry.

"No sense of urgency" pretty much sums up the narrative of the Cowboys front office.
Especially so, when it may be the foremost thing that's needed at this juncture. :banghead:

Sounds like a QB problem and not an OC and scheme problem

Our roster was better outside of WR. We had a better oline, a better dline, a better defense overall. I get it people are still mad about losing Amari.

We did it in on defense the last 2 years. Went out and grabbed a ton of guys - Hooker, Kearse, Barr, Mankins, Fowler. But I think that was all Quinn, report was he gave Jerry a wishlist of what he needed. And god forbid we actually spend serious money on a free agent. Or look at other positions like offense. Two years and mid-season TY Hilton and Jason Peters this year are the top grabs to improve the team.

Four curl routes, option routes where the qb and wr have to read the same coverage? Naw what SF did was show one coverage pre-snap and change into another one post snap which led to confusion by our wr and qb. The Texans did the same thing and had success, Mike McCarthy begged Kellen to stop running them but he wouldn't. Look at dak's first int. he didn't trust that Gallup was going to be where he's supposed to.

Like I said, that does not matter to Stephen when the team is making money hand over fist. Again, if YOU don't like it, the Eagles are looking for more fans. Mosey on over!

Son, it matters to a lot of us who remember this as a once proud, winning franchise…Stephen is that you.
