Greatest Cowboys qb. Under appreciated

I won't put him ahead of Roger and Troy but he certainly deserves to be in their company despite being Archie Manninged for most of his career.

Can't believe it's been 10 years of high level play and we have nothing to show for it as a team other than a few NFC titles and playoff appearances. Still hope we can get a ring for the guy before he retires.

Im not old enough to have watched roger on a weekly basis, and while Troy was the perfect fit for that offense, Romo more talented than Troy.

10 years just like that. Time goes too fast.

I could've sworn Romo's first game was against the Giants in relief of Bledsoe. Then he started the next game against Carolina. I don't remember Bledsoe ever getting his job back, but the video shows Romo replacing Bledsoe against the Texans. Funny how memory works.

Im not going back and fact checking. I KNOW his first game was vs giants. I think he came in after halftime and also believe his very first pass attempt was a long INT. We lost that game but Romo settled in and looked good. I remember walking away from that game with new found optimism because of his play.

Oh my..

Aikman has 3 SB rings, bro.

You can count..right?

Yep I'm sure Romo doesn't win a SB or two with Jimmy Johnson coaching him and the talent Aikman had around him.

Again...the lack of perspective on this board is amazing sometimes.

They're both great QBs SB rings be damned.

I will always remember Romo for the gutty display he put on vs San Francisco, making a second half come back against a very tough defense with broken ribs and a punctured lung. The man was just as tough of an SOB as has ever played the game on that day.

Second would be the spin move that juked JJ Watt out of his shoes, where he then proceeded to throw a touchdown strike. It was a thing of beauty. I work in Houston and because I ALWAYS have my cowboys bracelet on Ive made myself a target for smack talk. So that game was pretty special for me. I ran my mouth quite a bit the following week lol.

The last memory that really sticks out to me is watching him leave Lambeau after the 2014 loss and seeing him absolutely fall apart as his family surrounded him to keep the cameras away. Yes hes filthy rich and has everything a man could ever dream of but guess what, that loss still hurt like hell. People sometimes say the fans want it more than the players. That is not the case with Romo. So regardless of how idiots judge his career I will always see a man who put it all on the line and sacrificed everything he had for the franchise.
