People not responding doesn't have anything to do with the questions relevance. Independence Day is about the birth of our country the Revolutionary War being how we won that independence.DallasEast;4611601 said:Agreed. It's relevance is reflected by the number of members who answered the question.

If you don't know the answer that is fine. It is clear you don't understand the relevance and honestly that is sad.

Did they immigrate to one of the upper or lower colonies? You better not say they took up residence in Memphis! :Yeagermeister;4611833 said:I've recently found out that my ancestors (The Yeager side) came here in 1717 so they may have fought but I don't know for sure.

Also check out your local library or ancestory.com. A lot of time you find muster lists for the wars, pension documents, etc.Yeagermeister;4611833 said:I've recently found out that my ancestors (The Yeager side) came here in 1717 so they may have fought but I don't know for sure.

I still live in the same area my family settled in all those years ago, so the library helped me too. If you live in the same area that could be helpful. Sometimes libraries will send you info from their genealogy libraries if you ask them. The library in my town will do that. It likely depends on there level of help and resources though.Yeagermeister;4611858 said:I used ancestry.com but they didn't have much info.
Did they bring any beer making secrets along with them and passed them down through the generations? Don't you hold out on me. I'll sic Sarge on ya.Yeagermeister;4611853 said:LOL I don't think Memphis was existed then. They came from Germany and settled in Virginia. Then spread west.
