I think a real accomplishment seems to be overlooked. This team now has - at minimum - 9 wins!

We are officially out of the doldrums of mediocrity and the repeated 8-8 seasons. I think this is something to be thankful for and appreciated and I'm not sure there's enough of it happening.

No clearer indicator of progress can be shown in my opinion. The bottom line is that Jerry, Garrett, and company have given us a better and more successful product, and for that I offer my congratulations and appreciation.

I'm very pleasantly surprised with this level of success and, for me, anything more will be gravy.

I said before the season anything better than 8 wins would be great, considering the lack of talent on the roster. But now, It's get into the playoffs and win a game or bust. Beating chicago isnt that big of a feat. It's all about winning playoff games, assuming they get in.

I agree w this thread 100%....If you told me coming into this year we would win 9 games - I would have taken it..and we still have 3 more to go

Its easy to take wins for granted...then we allow the losses to take a toll....Time to enjoy these mini milestones

I'm thankful. I'm enjoying every minute of this season even the ups and downs.

These guys have come a long way and the best is yet to come.

I'm curious about something stash. You and I have clashed about the injuries of the last 2 years and the affect it had on those teams. Friendly, but still clashed.

Look at the injuries on the Giants this year. Coughlin is what I think we'd both call a great coach. Do you think their poor season is a reflection of their injuries, the same way I think our last 2 years were a reflection on ours? Or do you think that they should be playing better and it reflects on a bad job by Coughlin and company?

Agree, would be good to get a playoff win or 2 or 3 :)

I'm not surprised this team has a group of young hungry players. I want and expect more wins. Haven't won anything yet. If the lose out all they did was get a worse draft slot.

No. I'm not giving Coughlin a pass because of injuries. But I don't think he's suddenly become a bad coach either.

I attribute the Giants issues to some poor personnel moves (specifically failing to replace key players on both the offensive and defensive lines), and the inexplicable decision to radically change up the offense.

Sadly though, the 5-11 and 6-10 prognosticators will complain the loudest if Dallas finishes 10-6 and doesn't make the playoffs.

Hey, I was a 5-11 prognosticator and am happy to have been so wrong. And I will now gladly give credit where credit is due. This team still has needs, but they've managed a winning season despite losing their top 3 defensive players.

While I am admitting a critical fan, I have no problem giving credit when it's due.

We are starting to see the tangible results of what this organization has been working towards, and it is very satisfying. I am absolutely stoked to see how these last several weeks play out.

It's funny now to look back at the "experts" preseason analysis vs what we've proven ourselves to be. I remember power rankings before week 1 having us somewhere between 28-32.

What a surprising and satisfying season so far.

I'd like to think that they've also realized past mistakes and are headed in the right direction.

Great position to take. You win either way!!

If Romo and Witten were younger I could probably be content with 9 wins. But given their age and lack of playoff success I'd hate to see the team blow a chance at the playoffs even though it was unexpected. There are a lot of reasons why the team should be better next season, but you never know how that will work out. There could be more injuries, sometimes guys regress inexplicably...there's many a slip between a cup and a lip.

Based on pre-season expectations, this team has been as much of a surprise as the 2008 and 2010 teams. Nice to see it go the other way for a change. But that also tells you how much pre-season predictions mean. Not much.

Played their due part for sure.

The decision to completely change up the offense on Eli, which he clearly isn't nearly as comfortable in, is also a huge factor in why their team isn't as good.

I didn't expect 9 wins. Happy with that.

But, the Superbowl is the prize. Seasons are for not, if no Super Bowl win.

i really worried that getting over that hump wouldve been mentally debilitating for this team. it actually came easy, and maybe thats just another sign that this isnt the same team.

and i want the division, but i wouldn't mind road playoff games. we can destroy anyone in the south, and we can go to arizona with their QB situation and win. we proved we can beat seattle there, and the niners aren't all that great. detroit is still shaky too. GB would kill us. eagles would be tough too. all in all, give me road games going forward.

I was a 5-11 prognosticator.

Still though, I make these observations at the end of the year. I'm more focused on what's coming up like, will we be more competitive against the Eagles next week?

I'll smell the flowers once the season is over.

This
You build through the lines, simple concept that escapes many

Even a team like Philly that relies on speed, misdirection and stretching out sideways , dominated us because of DL and OL play.
