No. Had we traded down and still attempted to draft him then it would have been a much better pick but at #18 it was a reach. Then again considering our draft thus far it's been nothing but a reach.

KC at 20 and NE at 22 wanted Carpenter. BTW, we didn't draft a reach all day.

I'm just not that high on drafting dual-positions from the same team, especially when our guy is the second one taken 13 spots later. I mean how much did Carpenter benefit from playing with AJ Hawk? Will Ware give him the same effect? Just like w/Manny Lawson, didn't like the fact that he played behind Mario, and that wasn't even the same position. Overall though I can live with this pick.
