Give Lucky more chances. I really think we wouldn't miss Harris as much if the coaches had the cojones to let Lucky grow.

Lockett and Harris are the only two guys in the league with punt and kickoff returns for TDs.

I watched Lockett light it up at K-St. as a duel threat (in the return game and on offense) and knew he would go higher than we would draft a WR. I sure didn't want him to end up in Seattle.

What I was saying is people said we spent the DHarris money on Beasley but we were keeping Beasley no matter what.

We decided to let DHarris go and went to the ultra-cheap route of UDFA to replace him.

We could have kept DHarris, his cap hit was 1.8m this year.

I wanted to keep Harris. He did all the little things that wins games. He came up with big plays at crucial moments whether in returns, gunner, blocking everything. Would have spent more then 2 million to keep him

I wanted to keep Harris also but we didn't know how to use him aside from special teams. I'm glad he's with a team that can utilize his talent.

As a WR he seemed to make plays. Tough catches and was fearless. Hated to lose him and Carter

I don't remember him making td's on kickoffs or punt returns for us.

I also don't remember him making big catches either.

selective memory I suppose.

Harris was not worth the contract he got in the role he would have here.

Good on New York for identifying his talent and expanding it.

If we can't draft and develop players like Harris, then that's where I'd lay the responsibility. He's not such a good player that you had to resign him, but we needed a better plan to replace him than "nothing."

agreed, though I would say that Lucky was intended to be Harris' replacement and he's starting to come on...

I agree with that, too. The bigger problem has been the blocking for the returners, really. But if Lucky can keep playing the way he did this week, we look like we've got something back there now.

I think the more we watch Lucky the sooner we'll forget about Harris.

That's all.

He didn't do much at all 2nd half of last year. There was nobody rueing his departure

That said, a couple of big special team plays and maybe we win a couple of these Romoless games

It is.

He returned a couple for a TD for us, one against the Eagles back in 2012. He also had plenty that he nearly took the distance, but still gained a good chunk of yards. Each year he was here, he ranked in the top 15 in returns, one year in the top 5.

As for big catches, he had a huge sideline catch for us, game winning TD catch against the Vikings, and a big catch against the 49ers that gave us a chance to get back in the game.

It isn't DHarris vs Beasley

It is DHarris vs Lucky

We chose to save some money and went with Lucky.

Lucky was a UDFA,he was not a "plan". a plan would have been to draft somebody like Tyler Lockett.

So Dallas should have used their 2nd round pick on Lockett.

UDFAs are a part of any teams plans.
