Hardy Done? Cowboys won't bring back Hardy? *merged*

There's certainly players out there that can help us it's making sure we target players who are going to fit what we're doing. If we were going to make a last push with Romo we should have kept the team we had in place after the 2014 season. We were clearly on the right track all we needed was to improve the defense. Now with the team coming off a 4-12 season and Romo's age and collarbone injuries have many talking QB at #4 overall for the Cowboys we may be starting to approach the beginning of the end for Romo.

I agree 100% .if we go the right path in free agency and we could trade down in the draft get another playmaker on defense and still find a way to get a qb.. wishful thinking but it is possible

I don't get the big concern over a 1 tech DT. In a 3-4 it is important to eat up blockers and free up you LB'ers. In a 4-3 you seldom play a true 1 tech. Weak side will inside shade the guard, sure, but he is not trying to engage the center and guard like a NT would. I am just not sure people understand the purpose of the technique or how limited it really is in this defense, which relies on speed more than brute strength.

Not the philosophy of how it is supposed to work that i don't get. It is the reality of the results. We are not getting push from the middle of our d-line. I for one don't care if it is by speed or brute strength just get results.

Bosa is a walk in and start at LDE guy....DLaw could move to RDE.

I don't know how there can any positions out of the 11 that can be considered less important.

That is how we end up with Hayden and Wilcox and nobody at SAM.

Agreed. If the Cowboys miss this opportunity with him there for the taking for a quarterback, I might not watch...

...except I will because I'm a problem.

I still think the best option is for us to go with a player like Myles Jack and then take a real nose tackle in the 2nd round.

For whatever reason, though, the Cowboys love ignoring the 1T position.

Thank God we're still in february, otherwise this would feel like a 2015 re-run. A lot can happen between now and the first day of TC.

At the end of the day he is overrated and not worth the trouble and cash.

I bet he signs somewhere...and ends up w/ double digit sacks....We are just dumb enough to use our best rush DE as a DT:(

Fisher is pretty good.

Fish spews provocative headlines that are little more than throwing poo against the wall. He has access but the team obviously feeds him misinformation or he is just unethical and runs with innuendo and half truths.

I like how some in this thread completely ignored this and will continue to ignore this till someone calls them out on it

Because that's what teams say at this time of the year. As soon as they're able to, he's gone.

Yeah and wreck another locker room at the same time.

Our locker room was wrecked? Players didn't perform up to par or listen to Garrett and the coaches because of Hardy? What mind powers he has. Better than Dr Strange.

I think jalen ramsey is the safe pic.. Id like to trade down between 10-15 and pick up some extra pics... I wonder who the surprise player will be who falls in the draft...

You and @fortdick are both right. We aren't getting enough sacks and pressure and that is the bottom line.
