Im so sick and tired of the media using Hardy as justification for Brady.
I heard on the radio and several times on BSpn that Brady's four game suspension shouldn't be the same as Hardy's. It's frustrating, but we all know what there really trying to say.. "How can a 'women beater' get four games and Brady who was just cheating a little get four games... This is insanity! Or is it..
Let me start by saying I don't condone Hardys actions and/or domestic violence. That said I personally have no clue what happened and I'm certainly not going to believe the media. So I'll trust the courts and the fact is that Hardys case was dropped due to the victim not showing up to testify. No conviction, so he's an innocent person by law and you can't blame the NFL for their strong stance on a subject that seems to happen ever year in this league. Four games is twice as much of a suspension as written per Old CBA rules..Hardy found himself in the wrong place at the wrong time with a girl who apparently has a cocaine addiction and similar run-ins with the rapper Nelly. Hardy is the one that made the 911 call. Hmm, what's really going on there..
On the other side you have one of the faces of the NFL caught red handed. I'll by that it's technically a small infraction, but the bigger issue is the Patriots just keep getting caught with there hands in the cookie jar. And plenty of evidence supports they've been at it for a while.
So if everyone can forgive my rant.. I think Brady is the player getting off lite here because the Patriots as a whole continue to flirt with the integrity of the game. An example is in order. (Off my soapbox)

I thought the title was actually going to be about football...lol....

Well, IMO on the field, Hardy will sack Brady quite often if they would play against each other.
So I will settle for Hardy sacking Grappolo or however it's spelled, quite often.....

If I were a Patriots fan I'd be ignoring Hardy altogether and be asking the world why taking air out of a football is an equivalent competitive advantage penalty to pumping ones body with anabolic steroids that get you stronger and help you heal faster

He got 4 games for not cooperating with the investigation, not for deflating footballs.

Believe it's that and failure to cooperate, so the league is arguing that he got off lighter than he would have otherwise.

To be fair didn't Wade Wilson get 5 games for having sex?

One was accused of something not related football. One was related to cheating football. Easy call.

Goodell says the “closest parallel” for Brady is the discipline approved for a first violation of the policy governing performance enhancing drugs. In the written document, he states that “steroid use reflects an improper effort to secure a competitive advantage in, and threatens the integrity of, the game.”

I think the closest parallel would be to ban Brady for four PLAYOFF games. He committed his crime during a playoff game, so.. No playoffs for Brady. He already got to play the Super Bowl after his cheating was revealed. He should have been benched for that super bowl, actually.

The legal system gave Hardy Zero punishment. There is no proof that he did anything and he did cooperate with the NFL's investigation. There is a high probability that the ex Girl friend set Hardy up. There were no unbiased witnesses and no witnesses that would be biased in Hardy's favor that testified against him.

The evidence against Brady is much stronger and he did not cooperate with the investigation. There is no chance that the ball boys set him up. Why would a Star QB even have the phone number for the ball boys and why would he be sending them multiple texts? The ball boys testimonies went against Brady despite the fact that they would likely be biased in his favor.

Anything that interferes with the integrity of the game should be punished more severely than other actions. Steroids (PEDs) should have a much harsher punishment than Weed. There are some players in the NFL and MLB Hall of Fames that were bad people, but Pete Rose is banned from baseball for actions that might have interfered with the integrity of the game.

There is also the issue that Hardy already missed 17 games. Yes, he got paid, but it was still punishment.

It's the old "other guy" bait and switch.

"Yeah, I stole your car, but that guy robbed a bank. See, I'm not so bad. Don't look at me, look at him!"

Actually a better analogy is "Yeah, I got caught doing 70 in a 65 MPH zone, but the other guy beat the crap out of a woman, so don't look at me, look at him."

Which kinda makes an awful lot of sense if you think about it.....
