What happened to this forum?

Good question.

This was reported yesterday and it took over 20 hours for the "should we sign him" thread to start?

Spencer is twice the player harrison is at this point.

Past two seasons:

Spencer -> 30 games, 17 sacks

Harrison -> 24 Games, 15 sacks

I'd bet a lot of money those couple of good seasons he had were the product of PEDs.

He has 60 sacks over the past 6 seasons. He has had more than than "a couple of good seasons".

No thanks

I actually have a buddy that personally knows Harrison and take it FWIW, he thinks Harrison will retire. He doesn't think Harrison will leave Pennsylvania and has been seriously considering walking away for several years. He says he won't have any problem walking away from it and retiring to the hills.
As for Dallas, I can't stand him and don't want him here, he wouldn't fit, would need way too much money, and would be idiotic to suggest bringing him in.

Trade Spencer; bring in Harrison?

It'd be smarter to pay the 20 something the money he wants than pay the 30 something the money the 20 something wants.

Interesting point.

I think this is intersting also:

Per PFF...

In 2011 Harrison had a +23.1 rating.

In 2011 Spencer had a +3.2 rating.

In 2012 Harrison had a +2.9 rating.

In 2012 Spencer had a +23.0 rating.

Gotta love people that want old players on the team. Go young, build via the draft and young FAs. I heard Tony Dorsett was still unsigned, let's see what he still has under the hood...

Those 5 seasons?
Yikes -- if PEDs only get him 8.5 or 9 sacks, he's worse than I thought. The guy is too small to play the position. He took a bunch of PEDs had one good season, and is now on his way out.

Take out his one good year and he's averaged about 5 sacks per season over his career. He's averaged 8 sacks per season since that one good season (literally half the product of his one highlight season).

If that isn't indicative of PEDs, I don't know what is.

Maybe I'm not understanding something here but I thought Spencer was signing his tag early next week and was looking for a long term deal in the interim. If so we are locked in I think although I guess he could refuse to sign but there is no indication he will do that.
