Has anyone considered this regarding Chaz Green?

My bet would be that he has a "breakout" season in his contract year, signs a nice contract then returns to sucking.

He can't stay healthy enough to have a break out year.
Frankly I am shocked he did not get hurt during the game with as much abuse he sustained from the DE.

lol, I hear ya, and his contract year will be the healthiest he's ever been, and by the time the ink gets dry on a new contract he'll be ready to wear out another trainers table.....I really don't see that he brings much to the team.

That's true but it all goes back to coaching they should never have let that game develop the way they did.
they could have given him help, and I'm not talking about a tight end or a chipper all I'm talking about is running plays away from that side of the line I mean rollouts, sweeps, ect.
but to just drop back and hope for the best is rare stupidity.
It's Wednesday and I'm still hot damn it
You run at a guy like that. He is only running outside on speed rush which leaves inside the tackle and guard wide open. Run screens in behind him.

I agree with you there are many things we could have done to prevent that but we didn't. We allowed 1 guy to shut down our offense cause Garrett or Linehan.... Maybe both..... Didn't know what to do. Maybe hard headed, perhaps pride.... I'm not sure but they need to fix it. It was and is unacceptable

I said this right when the Falcons game ended. If you watch him, he has the foot speed to play OT, but his technique looked more like a guard in pass pro than a OT in pass pro.

The screwup by our coaching staff was we kept Green at LG when Cooper was the better LG. We saw this in the preseason when Cooper got the start and he looked very good. But the coaching staff insisted on making Green the starter. Green played well last year filling in for Tyron, so athleticism and skill are not an issue. It has to do with proper development and him staying healthy. The coaching staff screwed the pooch with Green for this season.

Preseason selection was poorly done by the coaching squad. Green and Cooper looked similar (though Cooper has improved since then). Cooper only plays guard, Green is a swing tackle who is fragile. Logic says Cooper gets the start and Green is the swing tackle. The lost reps at tackle in training camp didnt help Green on Sunday nor did the confusion of having changed position midseason.

Well, you have to consider the abuse was watching the DE run right by him, not actually being thrown around. He could have hurt his neck by all the fast twists as he watched the DE go on by but other than that, I don't think the LT got touched in that game.

Green is nothing but a RT in this league - nothing else. He is not a true guard nor is he an average LT (A couple of decent games last year obviously was not enough time to give us an idea of what he was at that position)

Even worse when Collins is out of position playing RT right now, which is going to essentially kill his career. We are experimenting when it wasn't needed, our 2017 FA was a bust.
