Has Camden Brown made the 53?

From my perspective, everything I've seen of Brown at camp and the preseason game, he is going to be a better receiver than Turpin. He has good speed and his catching ability and separation is really good... Lamb even said that Brown is "ONE OF THOSE" meaning, a dawg... Turp will be on the roster, but this brown kid is not going anywhere. I know we all have respect for flourney, but just maybe this kid is way better? we will find out soon enough once the skin starts flying around... My prediction is Brown will get to play and he will make the most of him limited snaps..

Lack of separation ability is one of his weaknesses.

Cooper Kupp runs incredibly sharp routes. Brown rounds off his routes, one of his weaknesses.

40 time is a terrible way to evaluate a player. Yes, it's part of the equation, but it's just not the endall.

Beware of the training camp/pre season studs when the regular season rolls around. I want the best for this kid but there always seems to be a standout in pre-season who shows nothing when the regular season rolls around.

Would you agree that Camden in no way clears waivers? Because whether or not he’s made the 53 he certainly won’t clear waivers.

Well, there are going to be qualifiers ... because it is training camp and preseason. We've seen training camp heroes come and go, so it's hard to say he's made the 53. Well, if he just looks too good at receiver to make the practice squad, he would probably be an inactive keeper. I think we sometimes get caught up in these bottom-roster players got to play special teams, but there also have to be inactives each week. Some of those will be hurt players, but some will be reserves who don't offer anything on special teams.

I've always had trouble with expecting receivers to be great on special teams coverage teams. I'd just prefer they be really good receivers.

How do you know this? Have you been at training camp? Do you have the All 22 subscription? Do you know Will McClay?
