Has Dak alienated much of the Fanbase

So you must have been a fan of this contract.

Cleveland gave up six draft picks, including their first-round picks for 2022, 2023, and 2024, just to get Watson and a sixth-round pick in return. Then, they went ahead and signed Watson to a massive five-year contract worth $230 million, fully guaranteed.
Was that GM fired?

Why would Dak accept less to be here? The fault is on the FO for always trying to play chicken when they have no real plan. If you want to bargain Dak down, you actually DRAFT A QB HIGH or let Trey Lance actually get some kind of playing time to see if he can show something. No smart free agent is going to take less to be here because it's clear the money 'saved' isn't going to building the best team possible

They are over paying Dak, because he is comfortable playing for a GM that has no intention of trying to win.

I think Dak just has worn out his welcome. Good enough guy, but Amerca loves QBs who raise the Lombardi Trophy over their heads. Dak has never elevated his game in the playoffs. America hates that.

I am glad you think, you get to decide Dak's success.

Well are you surprised? He's the same one who decided Dak is responsible for the Cowboys leading the NFL in penalties committed by the whole team for multiple seasons.

Yet, couldn't tell me any other quarterbacks in NFL history who were blamed for their teams leading the NFL in penalties.

Dak isn't elite and appears to lack what it takes to lead us to a Superbowl victory, but he's obviously a pioneer. The first quarterback in NFL history responsible for many things regarding team issues and the short comings of a 53 man roster.

Haha.....if you don't have success, how do you make that kind of money?

It all goes back to our GM is an idiot.
So fooling a geriatric owner/GM who sucks at his job and is only in that position because he bought the team is a measure of success?

Success is relative. If the goal is to make as much money as they can and do so, then sure, they’re successful.

Jerry is just like Dak. Successful at money accumulation, but that’s all he’ll really be known for outside any sycophantic admirers. It’s more of being in the “right place at the right time” and riding the wave (Jerry buying the team and riding about as sure an investment as you can get based on history, tradition in a monopolized industry) than what really makes them successful in the industry that they’re actually involved in.

If you don think Jerry is a success, you definitely must be a loser.

Dak's legacy is being made clear.
Players leaving because they know they will never win anything with him at quarterback, and fans like me who have finally had enough of Jerry's ignorance turning away.
The extension Jerry gave Dak on opening day of last year finished off any hope that the Cowboys we once knew and loved would ever return.
That is Dak's legacy.

Well the way I see it, Dak and every other athlete who makes that type of money is very successful.

Yeah people will say this athlete or that athlete isn't successful until they win a championship. Thats cool. But if winning a championship make one player more successful than another player, then that means players like Nick Foles and Trent Dilfer were more successful at their football careers than Dan Marino and Jim Kelly correct?

With that said.... true success in my opinion is being able to create generational wealth for your family for decades to come. Winning a championship in a team game is the ultimate career goal, but if a player doesn't win a championship, it doesn't mean he or she isn't successful.

Championship rings and trophies will never replace having generational wealth. If that weren't the case, there wouldn't be pawn shops around the country with championship rings, championship belts, and MVP awards.

The pawn shops in Vegas are full of them.

So yes... Dak and others making that type of bread are VERY successful. Championships would just be the cherry on top.

Super Bowls and Championships are just ways to keep fans entertained. They are more of a measurement of success of the GM and Ownership group, than they are of any single player.
