Has Dak alienated much of the Fanbase

Funniest thing about DLaw leaving is the short social media beef he had with Micah about not being serious, as if he wasn’t part of the “HotBoyz”
I’m glad to see DLaw shipped out. He was far too much mouth and far too little substance. Much like Dak he wilts in the big games and stat pads against little sisters of the poor and chickiepengap university.

I stopped liking him when he talked trash to the little kid that wanted his jersey signed, just because he was a Giants fan, that was also a fan of him.

I wouldn’t have paid Dak, if I was GM. Since I’m not I had no say in the matter. I think it was most likely a mistake and I think over time that perspective will more than likely be proven right.

I become more sour on Dak over time. It’s also the Cowboys’ fault for agreeing to pay him that much money with a no trade clause etc, no tag clause etc. I don’t think Dak is that good myself. He wilts under pressure.

I would love to see him light it up and a win a SB I just don’t see that ever happening.

After this contract debacle I would draft a QB high, let him compete with Dak and then let Dak demand a trade. Thats about the only way I see this contract situation playing out well.
this isnt the year for drafting a QB high.Even the ones that are going to go early are probably going to need alot around them. Id draft a QB around round 5 though we got 10 picks and if we get lucky and trade down we could get 11.

Its ok to sour on dak but souring on Dak should have some perspective and understanding that he isnt the only problem and hasnt been the only reason for lack of success. My concerns with him are his health now and the ?? that come with it

The 2 people I have a hard time getting past is in front office as this is a problem that dates back to when the salary cap era began. Thank God for the Hershel trade and Jimmy johnson or wed be pushing 50 years of failed campaigns

Dak is in QB prime age according to this site...30 to 34 years old when game slows down for a qb.

Dak got his leg snapped. I forget his other injury....broken hand?

He's a big boy. What health issues are there? Health seems like a flimsy excuse...nothing against you.

What is Burrow to you then? He has to be a risk too then.

its not an excuse its a fact. He was never fleet of foot but he was at his best when he was more mobile. His lower extremity injuries should concern all fans of the team. injuries to lower body beside his leg being snapped was his calf and now his hammy that was torn. I believe hes had multiple hand injuries that hes played through as well. As injuries mount they can have an impact on his ability to slide in the pocket and escape and couple that with his mental shortcomings of getting happy feet and the need to have pinpoint accurate throws because of lack of separation well you get the picture or you should.

when you have a turnstyle at RT and a LT that is OJT and a receiving corps that's bottom half of the league along with a average at best running game it impacts the team. I felt similarly when when romo's back injuries mounted

its time to keep an eye out for the next DC QB you never know the last 2 was UDFA and 4th round. And I believe that with the right group dfak can be succesful but i also dont think oujr front office is capable of providing that

You could show me a picture of his scar where the hammy was worked...i still think it was a fake injury.

Every sports team mysteriously has its stars get hurt with injuries in throwaway seasons. Every sports team. It's been repeated so many times I couldn't take you seriously if you tried to claim it doesn't happen or doesn't happen frequently.

Its like when Zeke fumbled 4 times in one game that one season...the one game everyone started giving up.

That happened this year too. I forget which week it was...but the towel was waived mid game and players started getting injured. Diggs was acting hurt to try and exit the game but kept going back in because I guess coaches weren't buying it. He eventually left the game and is injured now. It all looked so fake.

I understand that thus most likely isn't real, but I refuse to believe Dak is injury prone based on a leg injury or two. Snapped leg, calf and a hammy in a throwaway year.

Not really buying it

9 seasons in since becoming the starters and Dak has missed 8 games more than Romo due to injury. 23 games compared with 15 games. Romo didn't start 6 games but still even proportionality taking the % of games played Dak has played less which is hilarious given Romo is pretty much defined as being made of glass on here by many whilst Dak is viewed as some sort of juggernaut. Dak also plays in an era when defenders can't even touch the QB.

And he also didn’t have Garrett as a play caller and no running game, until Callahan came here…. Romo was running around for his life, extending plays to buy time for Garrett’s mediocre play calling…

Is it any wonder countless players leave Dallas and pipe up about the team having no shot at winning the Superbowl when Dak is earning $60 million a year and Mayfield (just had a better season than Dak has ever had) and Darnold (only season he played for a fairly good team he just had a classic Dak Prescott type season) are earning pretty much half that amount around the $30 million a year mark?

The broke leg happened early in the year, contributing most of those missed games.

The calf and this hammy...I need do see what was going on as far as throwaway years.

Gotta look at it individually and not as a whole. This weird hammy combined with the broke leg accounts for most of those missed games.

Imagine being mad at a player and his agent for doing exactly what they should be doing and what the NFLPA want them to do, which is maximizing their earnings. Y'all are directing your energy to the wrong person. Dak is just another cog in the 30 year junk direction from the Jones family. No different than Romo getting a huge extension in 2007 before he accomplished one single thing. And another extension later with still no real accomplishments.

Lmao. Romo played in the same era as Dak. You act like one played 20 years earlier.

No one says Dak is a juggernaut. No one. Quit making up junk to support some made up argument.

There's still a big difference between when they both played. Quarterbacks were still getting drilled without a 15 yard penalty being imposed when Romo was playing.

The point being if you are a player watching guys like Mayfield and Darnold light it up on other teams whilst earning pretty much half of what Dak does then it's not exactly going to make the players evening a modest salary in comparison feel like a million bucks.

It will be interesting how it plays out with Purdy at the 49ers. He will arguably either retain or lose the locker room based on how much he demands/accepts.
