Bob Watson had nothing to do with what transpired in the early 90s with the team. He was in houston, just to be clear.

The question is which behind-the-scenes individuals contributed to the Yankee dynasty of the 1990s, and as team GM from '95 to '98, Watson certainly deserves his fair share of the credit. There's no guarantee they would have won those titles absent his contributions.

Has Jerry taken a toll on this team? Of course any player wants to win, but do they want to win at all cost, and will they lay it on the line for Jerry. Do players look at things like:

He hasnt re-upped Demarcus Ware. Do players (not intentionally) look at this and say Dang, he has not taken care of our best player. Not to mention Wares motor doesnt seem to be as high. That combined with the double and triple teams...not good for success.

He publicly stated that he was not going to get rid of TO (combined that many many players wanted him here), and then he released him. Now a man has a right to change his mind, but does that say to others (especially those not as talented or productive as TO) that I dont know if i can trust this man, this man on one hand seems to want whats best for the team, but on the other seems to be a liar.

He undermines the head coach's authority, and the team is not sure he will be here next year. That could cause a player to reason "Coach" is not here next year, what does that say for me and where I stand on this team.

I dont think players deliberately act out because of these things, but the mind is a powerful thing, and I think that causes some players heart not to be in it.

For the record I love Jones as an owner, but I think thats what he needs to be, and owner, and thats it. Jerry is trying to make business decisions, and make football decisions, while caught up in the emotions of the players he gets close to, all while being a chance taking gambler. That is way to many hats for one man to wear because there is absolutely no checks and balance system.

Im not sure if this is the case but it could be, whats your thoughts.

what wears on me more are people who don't like jones the GM and have to say it in a combined effort of sagan like numbers.

back to the too many hats thing, i found it interesting that Norm said today that the raiders, cowboys and Commanders have the 3 highest payrolls.

All failing teams with medling owners, and high payrolls.
