Has Lamb Came Out And Said He Ran The Wrong Route?

I'm curious if Lamb has addressed it or not.

We've seen Dak, Jerry, and McCarthy throw him under the bus and say it was on him, but I've not personally seen anything from Lamb owning it. I don't get the vibe from him that he wouldn't own it if he believed he was wrong, maybe I'm wrong, but he seems like a pretty stand up dude.

What's the deal here? Why isn't he coming out and saying "My bad on that one" or anything? Have I missed it? Maybe he thinks it's better to just keep quiet instead of talking and being made out to be the bad?

I'd say even if Lamb ran the wrong route, it was still a poor decision. Dak forced the throw regardless and there were 4 defenders in the area. No need to do that ever unless it's a 3rd and long and the game is on the line.

Dak had Hendershot for an easy 6 yards and a whole lot more if he makes one defender miss in open space.

The awkward thing is dak clearly just didn’t see the field and just threw it blind, that throw turned a win into a loss.

In that coverage he is supposed to cut straight across in front of the safety. If you can't see that you are either stupid, ignorant, or a troll. I don't think you are stupid or ignorant. I think that you are a troll. It was nice to see your Eagles lose last night. If you are an Eagle fan why do you have cowboy in your user name?
I'm surprised to even see you posting this so soon after, once again, being dead wrong.

Are you still dancing to Rodgers demise? :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

I just want to hear what Lambs side of it is.

We know Dak's side. Let's here the other guys involved side of it too.

The only ones that know what was supposed to happen are Lamb, Dak, Moore, McCarthy, and the other offensive guys.

The only ones we've heard from are Dak and McCarthy and we know who they'll blame.

I'll chose to wait until Lamb addresses it before I put all the blame on his shoulders like the coach, QB, owner, and some fans are doing.
You're right, McArthy, Dak, Olson, Irvin, Keyshawn, Sturm, and every other analyst has said that Lamb ran the route wrong, (and so did Schultz), but what would they know? It's not like they have done this their entire lives.

Instead let's pay attention to an attention ***** who jumps into every thread and start threads hating on the QB. Move on man, you're schtick is tiresome. We all know how you hate Dak, and this team. You live for losses by the Cowboys so you can come in here and blame it all on Dak.

You guys are so funny. So quick to turn on any Cowboys to protect Dak.

I'll ask you because others won' answer. Maybe you will.....

How can we have a QB that's never made a bad pass or bad decision only be able to lead us to 1 Wild Card win in 7 years? Are we just that cursed?

He threw it to the spot that Lamb was supposed to be. He didn't throw blindly. You people are something else, you complain that Dak doesn't anticipate his throws, then say he throws blindly. That throw didn't lose the game. The Cowboys were ahead by 14points going into the 4th quarter. The defense folded like a lawn chair at the end, which is what lost the game.

I never said he doesn't make mistakes. I'm referring to the throw you are referring to. It has been talked about by people who know, but your blind hate of Dak will not let you see it.

Move on man, we know how you feel about Dak. Move on!

The defense that has carries us all season has a bad game and they're the problem now?

Not the 40 million a year man that can't be counted on at all to put the team on his back for ONE GAME. ONE GAME. Dak also folded like the defense Sunday. The defense has also shown up MUCH MUCH MUCH more than Dak has this season. We're 4-1 with Dak on the bench for crying out loud.

You say we're something else, but one thing we are not is player over team like some of you seem to be.

Maybe there is an opportunity for a big play in all this. Have Lamb run the same route and cut behind the safety. Dak fake pumps as if to throw the ball underneath but then let's it fly over the defender's head to Lamb who is streaking for a TD. I often wondered why the Cowboys do not take advantage of other teams being aggressive.

Its the same thing with those quick passes to the outside that always go for no yards. Fake pump to bring up the defender then the WRs takes off and Dak throws it behind the defender who came up thinking it was the usually Cowboys awful naked screen to the WR. They could do the same thing with Pollard in the flat. The Cowboys used to run Dorsett out on those sideline routes and no LB could keep up with him. Pollards seems fast enough to evade most LBs and even some safeties. Just spitballing here.
Because when Dak double pumps, he gets sacked.

No idea but Olsen, Irving and Keyshawn all put at least 1 on the WR / TE.

Regardless - they need to get on the same one or just nix the option routes.

I thought the first interception in the end zome was actually partially Schultz's fault (and I'm a Shultz fan BTW).
He is supposed to get inside of that safety covering him which effectively takes that safety ourt of the play, and instead he allowed the safety to get inside of him (and placed the safety right in position for the INT).
The 2nd one I think was on Lamb mostly, he needs to cross the face of that safety (like Schultz in the first INT).
Lamb didn't do that. A bit of sloppy route running on both plays IMO.
Kind of like crossing the T's and dotting the i's, as a team we don't do that particularly well.

He should be able to anticipate a sideline breaking route, that timing should be able to be done in their sleep. You need gimme plays.

a complicated route with 23 bodies in the middle of the field yea I think you should see what you’re seeing

And yet....when iy mattered the most....go time....we couldnt score.
We can sit here and bicker back and forth until the cowboys come home....but....once again....cant score when it matters most.

We wont win anything with that. 5 4th qtr wins in 6 years.

The defense has carried this team all season basically and the one time that it gets burned Dak can't shoulder the load at all and lead us to a win.

Dak literally needs everything around him working perfectly or we lose.

You say 5 4th quarter wins in 6 years and I'll raise you only 6 wins in his entire career when we didn't get 100 yards rushing. For reference, Cooper Rush has done it twice in 6 starts!

It is very interesting to me that the entire focus of this play, and the other one in this game, and the one against the Bears, is on the WR. I have only read a very few posts on the QB's decision making and how that played into the overall result.

Both things can be true. The WR screwed the pooch AND the QB made a poor situational decision to throw the ball into the teeth of the defense. In both the 'cross the face" examples the QB threw the ball directly at a safety who was literally looking for that very throw. Some would say that neither situation warranted such an aggressive play. Neither were do or die, must have plays. Both of them lead to points against and one of them took points off the board as well. There were other options. In both cases taking a sack would have been a better option than throwing a risky, low percentage pass that required perfection to complete.

Dak is easily fooled. It looks to me that he is trying to respond to the criticisms he has been hearing by trying to make these timing/anticipation throws but he is just not suited for it. He makes his mind up very early and doesn't allow the situation to develop and do a risk assessment on the fly.

Same thing has cropped up two games in a row now and it something we've not only not seen much of from Dak in the past, but it is something that he has been criticized for not doing.

We're seeing a new bizarro Dak. Reacting to the criticism. Unfortunately there was a reason why he played in an overcautious manner. We've seen that reason play out two weeks in a row now with uncharacteristic throws leading to turnovers. He is not built for that type of game and continuing to force it will only blow up on him.

Listen to Talking Cowboys from yesterday at the 24:20 mark. Isaiah Stanback breaks down the play and the coverage and shows what Greenbay did to confuse Prescott. He says more and more teams are doing this because the Cowboys have become predictable. He clearly states Dak was at fault. Take it for what it’s worth. You can also see the video of his breakdown if you go to the Cowboys app and watch the video where he breaks down the play. I couldn’t attach the video to this post so I’m attaching the audio. Either way it appears teams know what the Cowboys are running and confusing Dak and CeeDee with the coverages which had cause two interceptions the last two games. This needs to be fixed. It can't be fixed is the problem.

It was broken last year against the Broncos and Dak has never been the same since. He was never high level, but he just looks pitiful now. So easily confused.

Come on man,
You're messing up the "it was Lamb's fault" narrative if you add in quarterback decision making supported by film evidence. That stuff ain't allowed here. The next thing ya know you'll be labeled a Dak Troll or even worse yet, a hater.

Now toe the company line and say you made a mistake and repeat after me Thou Shalt not Blame Dak, lol.

Since when is a play so over analyzed that it even warrants a comment from the WR? The GM, HC and QB have already thrown it on him, what's he got to gain?

And do not underestimate agendas in this like Irvin pushing for Beckham.
