Has Lamb played himself out of a second contract?

Lamb is a good receiver and sometimes flashes elite skills. Before this week he led the NFL in 15+ Yard Receptions. That is with Cooper Rush driving a bus.

He just has too many drops which was his strong suite in college. Great Hands.

He doesnt have the body or speed to seperate himself much so we need him to become a great route runner and make the catches he drops right now.

He will and need to get a second contract. Our WR corps is *** without him. He will just not get premium dollar

Thoughts?
Cooper is better than Dak because we're now winning, and Lamb is garbage for 2 or 3 drops? End post gentlemen.

Check #1 receivers drop stats, and then rethink this post. Also, check how everyone (90% atleast) were angry we didn't upgrade at back-up QB.

This defense gives little to nothing for opponents despite being out there 70% of the game (being polite to Coop here), and we still have been getting dubs.

vs RAMS
Offense 6pts
Defense 6pts
ST 10pts

A lot of what you think is a drop, is in fact a well defended pass. Go ahead and google it. CD is fine, and playing with at this point if not the worst starting QB in the league, a close second or third.

Defense, and special teams is why we're winning, and honestly hats off to the coaching staff (despite Moore I give him a stiff C- liberally).

We'll need more points next week I assume. The Eagles are far more potent on their front line, and have many weapons, and a dang good defense.

Nevertheless, I am happy, and surpised by the win today. The TEAM won a football game. That's how championships are won. A lot of people foget that Big Ben won A Superbowl going 9-21, 123 yards, and 2 INT's. Romo wouldn't have won a single game with that production, but Ben is "ELITE".

I get so annoyed with fandom that it makes being on this forum difficult at times to interact here. This isn't Tennis, and I love Tennis. Teams win Superbowls, and talent is only as good as their environment. Right now, we are building a special environment. I'm not preaching Superbowl, but if this tenacity can bleed in to the offense I'm scared of NO team. o_O

CeeDee is as flawed as ANY great WR. He moved from the 3 to the 1, and has a guy he has little chemistry with throwing him the ball on top of it. He needs time to adjust, and also time to build chemistry. That being said, he's still way down the list in dropsies compared to his constituents. In fact tied with everyone's beloved Amari Cooper.

May next week be in our favor, and the team rally for another win. Go Cowboys :starspin:

I have said it before and will say it again, he is the best slot receiver in the league, as a number one receiver he is just really good. Gallup should shoulder more of the number 1 receiver duties. I have my fingers crossed that Washington can contribute to this talent pool once he returns to the team.

Lamb is a better slot receiver than Cooper Kupp? Than Justin Jefferson? In what way?

I think CD is a glorified slot wr. You have to get him the ball in space with room to run or he can't do much for you. He needs to be running crossing routes.

He is certainly NOT a #1WR with elite speed who can stretch the defense. I think his hands are suspect too.

He can hold his own against those two without any issues, he does need better ball delivery personnel, this guy is a real talent and has been since day 1, my firm belief is that we have placed him in the wrong position, granted he has still thrived but his true value is in the slot. You brought up two great talents in Krupp and Jefferson and IMO, he bests those in the slot.

Not basing a players contract off of 5 games. Lot of football left to play

He’s gonna get paid, he’s definitely getting a second contract. Will he be the highest paid WR? Doubt it, but we do have Jerry.

He'll get paid, maybe not by the Cowboys.
He’s on pace for 95 catches and 1200 yards
He’s gonna get paid for sure
The question for me is not about Lamb so much as the position
WR is one of the easier positions to draft in last several years
To me you pay the positions that are hard to draft and draft the easier one
A 15th rank pass rusher you pay because it’s really hard to get his replacement
A 15th ranked WR is much easier to draft
Lamb is playing good football but WR money is really high and finding them is not a great challenge

Jerry will pay him more than he is worth. That much I know.
