Has Lamb proven that he is a legit 1 WR?

I know many had doubts. Has he done enough to sway you?

Is he better than amari cooper?
No, 100 catches and 1300 yards seasons means little. Greg Cosell says CeeDee is only the Cowboys number 1. He is always watching film so he knows things.:rolleyes::rolleyes:
In all seriousness Lamb is 23 years of age and has more natural talent the Cooper Kupp. Barring injury he will get better. He will be a 30 million dollar receiver and the Cowboys have 3 of the top players under 25 in the league with CeeDee, Parsons, and Diggs.

I was very critical of him. Halfway through the year I felt justified. Since then he’s been on a tear. I feel now he is absolutely a number 1. He needs help around him but he’s more than capable. Happy to eat crow

Forget Jefferson, he's a different beast. Maybe Hill too

But put Lamb in any WR1 spot in the league and ask the question would he match or come close to matching the same production?
I think the answer is yes.

I think if he was in Buffalo he might even match Diggs' production, let alone 20-25 other teams top WRs.

Add Jamar Chase to that different beast list. I think due to his injury, people forget about him.

We are too quick with our assessment of players, especially those who've been in the league a short time.
Is Lamb a No. 1? I don't know. He's playing like one. But does it really matter?
If he's producing as a No. 2, I don't care if he's not a No. 1.
Is he better than Amari Cooper? I don't know, and I don't care. Amari's not here anymore.

Dropping balls left and right?

He has 5 on the entire season. You want to know who has the most drops this season? None other than Amari Cooper…
I'm not worried about Cooper, im saying at Lamb didn't look like a WR 1 earlier in the year but he grew into the role

You said he was dropping balls left and right. That was a lie. He has only 5 on the season. I brought up Amari Cooper because this fan base swear he was a 1, yet he has twice as many drops as Ceedee on less targets

Yes Sir!

Lamb has involved into WR1.

The fuel was all the OBJ talk.....that is Lamb's $$$ they were talking about.

CeeDee stepped Up

Right now he is performing like a #1, consistent production.
Whether that’s because he learned how to deal with double teams or bracket coverage and play through it or whether Kellen Moore finally learned he must scheme his #1 to get open instead of expecting the extras to take advantage of man coverage, that’s a legitimate question. I believe it’s the latter.

Ceedee is not better than Cooper and doesn’t have Amare’s speed. Everything Cooper is doing in Cleveland has been done with garbage at the QB position. I blame Moore for never scheming Cooper open…instead he had Ceedee to take advantage of man coverage, and the ball went elsewhere. If he had schemed Cooper open so he didn’t disappear when defenses tried to take him out, the front office would have seen the value in his contract, and we would have two awesome #1 receivers right now.

That’s your opinion, and you are entitled. My point is that Lamb is not beating double teams and bracket coverage on his own any more than Cooper did. So far he hasn’t even had a game like Cooper had when he first got here, destroying the Eagles defense. Lamb deserves the credit, but Kellen Moore is doing it for him scheme wise in ways he never did for Cooper. Cooper is double teamed or bracketed, fine, we go to Lamb or Gallup. Lately, Moore is using Lamb in the slot, in motions and reverse motions, in shifts, in bunch formations and in rub routes. He has to do that because we have no Lamb behind him, and it showed earlier this season. If Moore had done that when Cooper was here instead of letting his #1 be taken out by the defense, our offense would have been even better.

It doesn't matter if he is a number 1. The cowboys need to draft a WR, or get a multi year capable receiver. He is the current number 1 on this team until he is beaten.
