It is one thing for us fans to rip coaches or players or point fingers at players or coaches for whatever we think of. Or for losing games.

But when Payton Manning blamed his OL after that game that is something you just dont do in sports no matter where you play. Look at the horrible OL Bledsoe played behind. Bledsoe never blamed them. Yeah we did but we are fans.

I am just wonderin if any of you think Manning mighta lost his team and the Colts are just gonna not be that good any more. What is just screwed up about it all is one of the reasons Manning almost never gets sacked is cuz that OL he blamed is one of the best. They just ran into a Steeler defense with a truly great DC who threw them off that game. That happens sometimes.

Hey Payton Manning....if you dont like your OL I think all of Cowboy fans would love for you to have them sent down here to play for our team.

Im still trying to figure out if he blamed his line, or just the general scheme. The Colts just looked lost out there. I dont know how you continue to run a blockin scheme that is too slow to get to the outside and leaves the middle open for the rush.

It coulda been alota things. The Steelers have a great DC over there who had his team ready. Also when Dungys son killed himself there is no way Dungy could get over that and it coulda been big in why the Colts just looked horrible.

But whatever it was the Steelers DC sure had his team ready and played very aggressive.

Does Peyton have another brother in the NFL?

No, he has not lost his team. The team lost the game and though I think Peyton puts too much on his own shoulders and doesnt have that ice water in his veins, they will be in the hunt next year for a title. There maybe some guys that dont like him, which could happen on any team, but I think they respect him as a leader. Winning will remove all negative comments said.

Yes, he indeed threw his offensive lineman under the bus.

Something like...

"Trying to be a good teammate here, but let's just say we had some protection problems".

He knew and the offensive line knew what he was getting at, make no mistake about it.

Wolverine knows noting about Football, it's his way of "contributing" to the forum.

Obviously your dictionary has at least a few inches dust on it.

The only way for Billy B here to think you know something about football is if you say how Mike Zimmer is the greatest DC the NFL has ever seen or ever will see.

Not so easy there Payton when you keep getting knocked down is it!

The only time that I hear this is something you just don't do is when players do it.

Don't think this post belongs in this forum....perhaps on the "Colts" message boards??

Nope. This team went 13-0 and everyone thought they going all the way this year. What Manning said won't change that. They will be back next year. You don't go from the top of the mountain to "just gonna not be that good any more" overnight.

Yes. But I think he may have lost the team for a different reason.

He chose to only call EJ number 5 times.

Peyton may have lost their respect, but in this age of free agency, it doesn't really matter 'cause they'll be back giving their all playing for the next contract.

It's business and they have mouths to feed. To let a few words affect their performance would be an unsound business decision.

"I'm trying to be a good teammate here, but let's just say we had some protection problems."

How could anyone read that and not thinking he was blaming his offensive line for the loss. You would have to be a complete Manning homer to think otherwise.

If anything Archie should have publicly reprimanded his son instead of coddle him. It just shows what little class that family has. The San Diego issue was bad and now this.

I don't think this is that big of a deal. Bradshaw MADE it a big deal but in fairness to Manning, he had people in his face all day.

The real problem is Manning's loud-mouthed father.

I don't like the over-hyped Peyton Manning and thought this was a safe haven from all the talk about him. I guess I was wrong.
I would rather see another "Fire Zimmer" or "Bledsoe sucks" thread before this.

He lost em at the charger game and I still say he's over rated...:laugh2:
