Has Romo played a good Dfense other than Giants yet?

well what teams would qualify as great defenses?

He may not have faced any elite defenses of other teams, but he does practice against our guys every day.

That said, his numbers for having only 5 starts are amazing. I'm sure some has to do with teams having not seen enough of him, but you cant discount the decision making & accuracy. He looks like he really understands defenses and how to find the open guys...

I never got the impression that the Indy Dfense was really solid and the Carolina D was pretty beatup by the time we came to town if I remember correctly.

The Carolina D was healthy. They lost Chris Gamble during the game, but they were very healthy.

Carolina is currently ranked 11th in QB rating allowed. However, that's *after* Romo played them. If you took out Romo's game, Carolina would drop to 7th in QB rating allowed.

That Cardinals are currently ranked 18th in QB rating allowed. However, if you take out Romo's game against them, their QB rating ranking goes from 18th to 8th.

So in my mind he's faced 2 very good pass defenses in Carolina and Arizona and has completed 68% of his passes for 8.9 yards per attempt and has a 104 QB rating against them.

I hate to say this but you might be on to something and hope that we both are wrong.

Carolina's D is not consistent, they show up one Sunday and disappear the next. Even Jason Campbell of the redStinks beat them. Indy's D was so focused on stopping the rund they gave Romo some space to play with, and even with that he didn't have a TD and had an INT (maybe he didn't need to).

The thing is, though, the Giants D is not better that those of the other teams mentioned. I think he will disect them and pick them apart and lead the boys to a victory.
Let's see the last time I checked Carolina, had one of the best pass rush units in the NFL, and that is a secondary's best friend and Romo, carved them up for 270 yds and 1 TD.

The Commanders, all of the hype was when Shawn Springs, came back that their defense would be back in the upper echelon of the NFL, Romo, carved them up to and would've won hadn't T.O. dropped a sure 74 yd TD, to go up 26-12 early in the 3rd quarter ended the game with 284 yds and would posted 300, if Owens, held on to that TD.

The Cardinals, the last time I checked at home on a Monday night gave the supposed best team in the NFC, the Bears a run for their money picking off Rex Grossman,4 times and Romo comes in carving them up for 308 yds 2 tds and no ints no injuries anywhere on that unit.

The Colts, had the #2 pass defense in the NFL came to Dallas, wanting to stop the run and they paid for it while Romo, didn't throw a TD, and threw one int he was 19-23 for 226 yds 1 INT that's 83.2% carved them up and outstaged the best pure passer in the game in Peyton Manning.

The Bucs, this unit picked off Donovan McNabb, three times and returned two for scores earlier in the season they come to Dallas, Thanksgiving Day and got plucked by Romo 22-29 306 5TDs so most of these units aren't chopped liver to say the least.

This needs to stop by the media and some fans Romo, is not a rookie he sat on the bench 3 years to learn this game and it's paying off thus far and some national media people want to see the wheels fall off I don't see it happening no time soon and no I'm not saying he won't throw any INTs, because he will with the way this offense is catered to his strengths I just don't see it.

The Giants, with all of their trash talk know what they will be up against this Sunday, and this will not be the same Cowboys team they saw at Texas Stadium, a couple of weeks ago everyone is saying that the Cowboys, need to bring their A game so should Giants.

With the talent he has around him, Romo can play any defense and win, the key is the Dallas offense has to remain balanced.

We saw what happened to Romo once he threw that first interception vs New York-- the gameplan got tossed out and we were passing nearly every down (I thought we abandoned the run too soon). What followed were two more bad picks and TO's hideous drop.

Those kinds of mistakes come from players pressing; if we follow the gameplan everyone will be involved and the pressure will be spread throughout the offense.

This is a limited defense; we should win. It all comes down to the Cowboys mentality-- are they winners or losers?

On defense Ware vs. a backup LOT is a mismatch. The slam dunk key is stopping Tiki Barber.
