During the last three years, I don't remember reading about Roy Williams being shaky on pass defense. It all seems top have started this year, specifically after those harrowing few minutes late on a Monday night. (Sorry, I couldn't resist.)

Could this be that Williams is not playing, or has been told to not play, his natural game, where he wouldn't give a second thought to how he tackles, etc?

He was playing out of position with little to no help from Newman, whoever was playing left corner, or the defensive line. It's that simple.

There's a reason why strong safety and free safety are two different positions.

I heard a rumor that we're going to trade Roy Williams for Lavar Arrington and a Skins' draft pick. It would have been a straight up trade except that Roy is actually still on the field and Lavar is on the bench.

Could it be that it has had a bigger affect on Sean Taylor?

Is he, perhaps, the most over hyped player since Lavar Arrington?

You be the judge....

16 16.0 tackles 0 Sacks 0int 2 pd 0 FF

While Roy has...

27 tackles 2.5 Sacks 0 int 2 pd 1 FF.

You be the judge.

And let's not forget, that in the same game the Skins fan mentioned Taylor was abused by Terry Glenn all night. He gave up the long TD on the flea flicker, actually falling to the ground, and he gave up at least one more 30+ yard pass to Glenn as well. Taylor seems to have come down to earth a bit, must be the horse collar rule.
