I'm just curious as I've noticed the change in my own perspective of the Dallas Cowboys, and mainly Jerry Jones, not too long ago I was labeled a homer, and guys like bbgun weren't even on speaking terms with me because I ardently defended him, and everything that the Cowboys did, almost like a raving lunatic, frothing at the mouth, spewing venom, I think I even uttered terms like, "go find another team to root for", "chicken little", "whiners", etc. etc. the same phrases I'm reading used on me now. I don't know, **** is starting to boil over with me.

No. I criticize what I think is wrong, and praise what I think is right. Nothing is changed by one day or one transaction or non-transaction. I'm simply not into over reacting.

that's fine, but I've been a member on this board since early 2005, a Cowboy fan for much longer than that, and am now just starting to get fed up

It is what it is.

Every nfl analyst, former player and former coach all giggle at Jerry being the gm and running the football operations.

Its not because they dislike him personally its because, like shannon sharpe so precisely put it last week, The nfl is a hobby to him.

The nfl is not his life, he is wealthy beyond all expectations with or without the nfl.

again it is what it is. Nothing will change. The media will gripe about him and then fawn over his every comment and cling to his every word like it matters. that enables jerry as much as jerry enables players.

last year the city and the fans had, had enough of owens and they boo'd him.

This year 80,000 people are going to be spewing some serious venom towards phillips and Jones.

Now that his security blanket order will not be arriving I would be surprised to see Wade coach all 16 regular season games this year.

My attitude hasn't changed much; I've been critical of this organization for a couple of years now as I kept seeing things that disturbed me and now I'm watching as everything implodes. I don't like being critical but there just hasn't been much to cheer about and support of late.

This bunch doesn't instill confidence and enthusiasm at this point.

At least I'm not alone any more.

I dont know, Probably not. I really cant stand phillips. I like Jerry the owner and hate the gm and his in your face style.

Believe it or not I didnt even boo owens. I bood and griped over some crap I saw him do on the field, but never during intros or whatever.

so probably not. I will do my share of griping and complaining in the stadium though. But to stand up and outright boo, right now I cant say that I would.

Now if come august I am in my seat and owens is still on the team and the bickering is still continuing and I hear anything about pacman jones.......then come talk to me.

I will be ready to order my 09 jersery with the custom FIRE JERRY emboroidery on the back.

I have always thought Jerry is reactive and not proactive, but that eventually he would realize how he has had success and how other successful teams operate. Now, I'm not so sure. He seems to be drifting further from a successful model and making it up as he goes. He also seems to be getting played a lot more by people in the business, even those close to him. I'm worried.

No new perspective for me. I remain as wonderful and insightful as the day I got here. ;) As our DCC visitor discovered today, far too many fans suffer from a form of "Stockholm Syndrome" when it comes to Jerry. For whatever reason, he is to be protected at all costs. Everyone else is expendable, especially the coaches. More than one member has implied that insufficient praise of the team is tantamout to "treason," or that Jerry and the "Dallas Cowboys" are one in the same. Wrong. Owners, coaches and players come and go; the Cowboys are forever. They were here long before Jerry showed up, and they'll be here long after he draws his last breath.

I'm not the least bit worried, no matter what happens. I quit worrying about this team and just accepted it as something I will watch but not be a part of. There are just too many self-inflicted wounds.

The Cowboys are Jerry's problem, not mine.

I tried to be hopeful, i really did. But something snapped inside me right about the end of the 1st Quarter in the Philly game. I realized then, that i had blinded myself to the problems all season long. I believed it would all workout in the end. Was the most unenjoyable season i can remember. Yes my perspective has changed.

I've grown tired of the Jones ownership style but overall I like the majority of the players.

I think we need to tweak the roster some and find another coach other than Wade before I think we're serious title contenders. Wade's a nice guy and all but his resume speaks for itself. Not a single playoff victory. It's like the blind leading the blind.

If we find a solid coach and Jerry gives him the authority to do things his way, the sky is the limit for this club.

I'm the same way.

I'm not cynical by nature. I SOOOO want to be waking up every day thinking, "This is our year!!" I just can't be fooled any longer. Oh, I love this team. But I'm tired of being fooled. I know better than to expect greatness from this franchise in its current state.

That doesn't mean I will stop rooting. And upon the first glimpse that things might be turning around, I'll start becoming hopeful again -- although more cautiously so than in years past. But I must see elements of change before I truly allow myself to become engulfed in hope.

I feel burned. Bottom line. I bought into this team's silliness too long. The current business method simply does not work. It's time to try something different, from top to bottom.

I think I am in the same boat as you are. Its easy to write off peoples frustrations as coming from one day, or one season but I know my frustrations are much deeper then that.

Ive tried to stay positive through Switzer, Campo and countless wasted draft picks but there comes a time when it starts to wear on you as a fan.

I gave Wade a chance and tried to be up beat because we had put together a string of good draft picks but the writing was on the wall last season. I got blasted by numerous posters for suggesting that we should fire a coach that went 13-3, now look where we are. It isnt about record it is about being a good leader and bringing the players together as a team. It was clear as day that his style was too lax to accomplish that.

How is it we as fans can see it, but Jerry cant?

How can we see that Brad Johnson is done but he cant?

How is it we can see Henry was getting out played by Scandrick and Jenkins yet no change was made?

How come everyone and there brother knew that kill, kill, kill meant a run audible, yet they kept doing it over and over all year?

I can go on for hours, it embarrassing looking at some of the decisions that have been made over the last decade.

Jerry wants to share credit with Jimmy for the rings, well he needs to shoulder most of the blame for the last 13 seasons as well. Im tired of everyone giving him a pass.
