I'm just curious as I've noticed the change in my own perspective of the Dallas Cowboys, and mainly Jerry Jones, not too long ago I was labeled a homer, and guys like bbgun weren't even on speaking terms with me because I ardently defended him, and everything that the Cowboys did, almost like a raving lunatic, frothing at the mouth, spewing venom, I think I even uttered terms like, "go find another team to root for", "chicken little", "whiners", etc. etc. the same phrases I'm reading used on me now. I don't know, **** is starting to boil over with me.
e tu?
Most on this forum, at this point ,probably view me as a homer, but it's not like I don't recognize that stink usually leads to ****! Not nailing down Dan Reeves, the T.O. reality TV show, Anthony Spencer's arrest, Martellus Bennet on youtube, etc. it all stinks. But it's the off-season, and I think what we are seeing from many of these players is a reflection of how the season ended. They are all coping in their own way.
Jerry Jones is who he is...I'm not a huge fan of him, but I know he wants to win, and I know success is not foreign to him. Considering that, I think eventually he will figure out. But this latest issue with Dan Reeves suggest he still has a ways to go. Or I could be wrong and Reeves could have been adamant about changes that even we as a forum would disagree with. Who knows.
There is speculation that the change in question involved T.O., which I'm, at this point, divided on. I still say he can be a great contributor, even if he's a decoy, and that most of his antics have been blown up by the media, on the other hand, if he hasn't learned to keep his trap shut by this time, he will never learn...and to that end, many would argue he shouldn't have to. Whatever. I don't care if he says, I'm just tired of hearing from the media there take on it. Everytime I here Randy Galloway say Eldorado Owens, I want to puke. I stopped listening to ESPN radio because of him; my whole family did.
Honestly, like I said before, it's the offseason, so my criticisms at the moment are tempered. I just don't have it in me to beat the dead horse that this season turned out to be. Now, I turn my sights to 2009. I acknowledge that alot could go wrong. How could I forget 2008? But I also see the possibility for positive change and the talent to beat any team, provided they don't beat themselves. At the end day, I'm glad that we, at least, have the pieces in place to make a run, instead of looking at next year as a rebuilding phase.
