After a caller called in and commented on the biggest positive change from Romo is the way he wears his hat.

Norm also took the time to correlated Romo's wearing his hat towards the front equates to winning.

He also went on to say that the fans/media is responsible for shaping Romo's new found maturity on the football field. This is laughable to me, what do you all think?

I think some need to seek professional help or at the least have way too much time on their hands.

I wonder what it means that he still had his football pants on during the post game press conference? :laugh2:

I think half the QBs in the NFL would like to get the attention for their play on the field that Tony Romo gets for his HAT.

For a guy who has a college education and a major in communications,
I would say he is really savvy and has snowed the press and the fans with what he wants them to think.
Like all of us we grow and change from one year to the next. Maybe he will sprout a gray hair next year, ala, Brett Farve.
I personally think he wears his hat anyway it lands on his head because he don't have a personal stylist following him around to fix his hair.:

I happened to be listening to that and while I do think it's laughable, in a way I understand what the guy and Norm were saying. It's not that the hat itself really means anything, but it does seem like Romo's overall demeanor this season is more of a mature leader and less of a happy-go-lucky frat boy.

Of course, I think that's a prime reason #81 was sent packing -- so Romo could take this step.

The logical side of me says that the way you wear your hat does not predict the outcome of a game and people who bash Romo on the direction his hat is pointing are mindless tools who should have mental exams before they are allowed to reproduce. with that being said I'm also the same guys who wears my "lucky" cowboys hat that i had for 8yrs and who switches from chair to chair depending on how the game is going (if they are doing good I stay put if they are sucking a switch ( i know beyond stupid but I've been doing theat since I was 8 and i never grew out of it)

Lincoln Financial Field needs more Miller Lite Dancers...

Funny none of this comes up when Big Ben wears his hat backwards.

Tony is sexy. Ben is not. If you're unsexy, you can wear your hat however you like.

Countdown to the 'if-you-win-two-super-bowls-you-can-wear-your-hat-however-you-like' crowd...10...9...8...7...

I understand what Norm and the caller was trying to say but Romo's hat placement is mutually exclusive from his play and maturity on and off of the field. I wonder will they feel the same after he wears his hat backwards next week.

CL, I really value your opinion and I would like to know how you felt about Norm/media/fans role in shaping Romo's opinion?

In my opinion I don't we had any role. Most athletes are excruciatingly hard on themselves and what we are seeing is the product of all the hard work that Romo has put in.

Thanks man! :)

But no, the part about the fans or media getting any credit was ridiculous. That was just the caller and Norm patting themselves on the back for something they had nothing to do with.

Tony's step forward IMO is simply the natural maturation process of a young guy along with a strong competing personality being removed from the locker room.

It is funny that you mentioned that. I was against getting rid of TO, in hindsight, it was the unquestioned correct decision.

That's abunch of CRAP!

I like Norm, but he's a moron to even think that.

Who cares about the hat? If we keep winning, Romo will have a mullet before too long. That is much bigger news IMO.
