Oh my god... you realize that Tampa 2 isn't just about the coverage right?

And no, they can run a 3 and a 1, a 3 and a 3, a 3 and a 2, and a and 3 and a 0....

Why would u not have Rat and Hatcher on the field at the same time?

Two bad B... At the same D.... Time...

They will be.

Ratliff is going to play the 1 and Hatcher is going to play the 3 in Kiffen's scheme. Ideally, you would want an elite 3 to play next to Ratliff at the 1 with Hatcher spelling both from time to time on rotation.

But we don't have that so you play with what you got and what we got is Ratliff at 1 and Hatcher at 3.

It doesn't seem like you understand the difference between a front and a coverage. Everything I have read about Kiffin suggests that he runs a 4-3 under front with his T2, which will put the DTs in a 1 and 3 technique.

Again... there is NO ONE from the cowboys organization stating Ratliff will be a 3 tech in that "article".

And being that it's from Ed Werder... doesn't help you at all.

Yeah the "Tampa 2" is all on the back end. Has NOTHING to do with the front.

regardless of who plays where its painfully clear they should have made an attempt at adding to this position in draft. After this season, Hatcher contract expires and Rat will be 33 heading into next season. Its entirely possible Dallas needs two new starting DT next year if Lissemore (4th year) is merely rotation player.

Man, Brent really screwed the Cowboys over. He'd be the perfect 1 tech, and Rat/Hatcher could rotate at the 3.

i think putting rat as the one plays to his strength. he is quick and can penetrate. why take that away by putting him in a position to be double teamed all the time.
