He could be talking about Ware, but he could also be talking about himself

Maybe somebody on the Boys is trying to get to resign for a hometown discount.

The hashtag #respect seems to indicate he respects the homie for being willing to take less money to stay loyal to his obligations, such as his family or those he considers his family, such as teammates for the Dallas Cowboys. Or I'm reading too much into this.

Actually I didnt even see the hastag part. So you are probably right. It could have alot to do with Ware then.

He is not talking about himself, don't think he would say his homie called and told him that. My guess is Ware .............

I read that Hatcher, Spencer and Melton all have the same agent. It will be interesting to see how it all plays out. Melton said today he would love to come to Dallas, but that would mean Hatcher leaving.

Regardless if its about a "homie" or not I think this is telling...maybe Hatch plays for less to stay in Dallas...if not it just makes him a DB... #DontBeAHypocriteHatch

We could realistically see all three with a star on their helmet next year if they wanted it that way. Including Ware. Melton and Spencer both should come at discounts coming off of major injuries. Ware takes a pay cut, and Hatcher takes a LOM contract, I'm way more optimistic than most when it comes to our cap situation.

I personally do not want to see Hatcher give a hometown discount. He has never been given a fair chance to play prior to this year. He has never had a big payday. I want Hatcher to get that. If it is NOT in Dallas....then so be it. Ware has been paid a lot of money by Dallas. He has not earned it the past couple of years. He is not worth what he is scheduled to earn next year. So Ware is the person that needs to have an honest conversation with himself...and he hopefully he decides to end his career in Dallas. To do that...he will have to take a paycut.!

If it's Ware I'm not sure how much of a discount it would be. If we give up on him other teams are going to take a close look at his age and problems staying healthy last year and may not be willing to offer a big paycheck. When Newman went to the Bengals he ended up taking a fraction of what he made here.

if he has not earned it - it is no fault of his own. His effort and dedication should not be questioned.

He could very well believe that he will not be injured this year and will be back to 15+ sacks and everything else.

So frankly yours and most of the same kind of posts are full of crap.

Whoever Hatcher's homie is in this tweet it certainly appears that loyalty over money is being discussed. A declaration by the homie? A request to Hatcher? Either one is hope if you want these guys to stay in Dallas.

The hashtag I took as Hatcher's declaration of HIS quest for respect. He's been pretty outspoken about wanting to be paid and these guys often make a strong connection between the $ and respect. Evenso, he has not been disrespectful to the team.

So you want Hatcher who's had one decent year to get paid even if it means he gives the one finger salute to the Cowboys while at the same time think that Ware, who's a border line HoFer, should look in the mirror (for some reason) and take a pay cut?

Ware earned the money he's made by being dominant. Hatcher had one decent year.

As far as the tweet goes...it could be referring to anyone.

I disagree. Prior to last season, there were two, maybe even three preseasons where Hatcher was tearing it up and slated to be in the mix to start. Every single one of those times, he got hurt and missed significant time in camp. When he came back, he was never the same and could not win the starting job. He has had his chances but didn't stay healthy. He finally did this past season. He deserves a nice payday but at his age and with his limited success, he should not break any teams bank.
