He's talking about Ben Bass. His neighbor wants to by his jet ski and offered him more money than Ben. It's a custom Jet ski with a steering wheel instead of the traditional handlebar set up.

This is the type of moment where you can cement your legacy. If Ware tells Dallas, I'm willing to cut _____ Million off of my deal to stay with the team, and give a chance to sign players to help us out, Hatcher might follow suit. It could happen...

They both could help us. I don't think that is the argument. Its the price. Both of those guys may really like their homes, teammates, friends and family situation right where it is. Maybe the character of these two guys will come shining through. Its a big deal to uproot your family and move around, especially if you like things just the way they are. I guess we shall see.

I think requesting Hatcher (who has never had a big pay day) for a discount is a lot different than requesting a declining star to adjust his bloated salary because of lack of production. One has been paid (deservedly) and the other is looking for his first big contract that won't (and shouldn't) sniff Ware's initial franchise deal. I beleive BBailey was stating for Hatcher;s sake, he shoudn't feel obligated by any means considering his financial situation and history with the team. Ware on the other hand, has had his big pay day(s) so it would make more logical sense for "loyality" to come into play for Ware's situation comparitvely. Hatcher has been a cheap mercenary (difference maker, though not always an official starter) we found in the middle of the draft and have never had to financially invest in. Totally different scenarios.

I personally do not want to see Hatcher give a hometown discount. He has never been given a fair chance to play prior to this year. He has never had a big payday. I want Hatcher to get that. If it is NOT in Dallas....then so be it. Ware has been paid a lot of money by Dallas. He has not earned it the past couple of years. He is not worth what he is scheduled to earn next year. So Ware is the person that needs to have an honest conversation with himself...and he hopefully he decides to end his career in Dallas. To do that...he will have to take a paycut.!

If D looks at himself in Jerry's mirror we are all in trouble!

Seriously, though, you make a good argument for Hatch getting his.
