It is time for Hatcher to replace Spears in my opinion.

Hatcher is a playmaker and a force everytime he is in the game.

You guys see how much better Hatcher is than Spears or is it just me?

Why? Hatcher has done very little all year. Spears at least knocks down a pass or gets a nice solo tackle each game.

I was expecting Spears to have a breakout year but its been Canty whos played awesome this year. Spears has been consistently average, and im sure Wade is aware of that. I too would like to see more of Hatcher.

The defensive line in the 3-4 scheme doesn't usually put up all kinds of stats, it is the linebackers that do. Spears doesn't have gaudy numbers but he has played well.

He returned a fumble against the Patriots. Spears has more snaps than Hatcher but Hatcher makes more plays plain and simple.

Canty is a stud. Hatcher gets up field so well while spears squats most of the time.

Spears needs to be moved to NT and let Hatcher play DE.

I am with you Spears just seems to fat for DE.

Neither Hatcher or Spears are impressive. Keep the rotation. I don't think we gain anything by running Hatcher out there more. He's been invisible this year.

Can you back that with stats?

You didn't see his fumble return? Spears plays 1st and 2nd down and Hatcher comes in on 3rd.

So you base your whole idea on one play?

ideally i would like to see Ratliff replace Spears once Tank Johnson starts getting in more game shape.

if in 12 games, you can only bring up one play, then that qualifes as very little.

It is one example. Watch the games and see for yourself instead of being lazy requesting stats or proof from people.

Maybe he has watched the games and doesn't see what you see and wants you to convince him, hypothetically speaking of course.....

It's tough to see for his position.

But, he doesn't make plays against the run, and it's been a long time since I saw him anywhere near the QB. I don't think there's a big disparity between him and Spears where you are forced to think "This guy should be starting."

I also don't think a fumble recovery is a very big deal. That's more luck than anything. Sacks and forced fumbles are far bigger plays.
