Mcnabb should have gotten intercepted twice on that one drive. I think Pitt was playing very vanilla on defense. Eagles have no receivers that scare me. The OLine had excellent protection on Mcnabb and he still got sacked a few times because his receivers can't get open. Good luck on being 14-2 as Mcnabb predicted they might.:laugh2: :lmao2: :lmao:

I wonder what people who love to bash Roy would say if, in the first half of a preseason game, he: got called for mugging LJ Smith, because he couldn't cover him, whiffed on tackles of Correll Buckhalter twice, and got burnt across the field by Greg Lewis for a first down.

Might be interesting to see, if it ever had any possibility of happneing.

The Eagles are looking pretty good ....

But then again it was the eagle trolls were saying that preseason means nothing.

Wonder if they will change there tune now?

It sounds like to me, zrin, that you need to get your friend straightened out.

Give him a T.O. Cowboys jersey, that should do the trick. ;)

Bahhh he is a Yankee ...... there is no hope.

He is also my brother in law .......... so its more fun that our teams hate each other. Esp since he had to wear a Cowboys T-shirt every Sunday last year after we swept them.

Most of those guys are alright ..... funny thing that the only time I played online fantasy football was with the guys on that board.

Looking good?? Gee, I dunno... the Iggles had 273 yards of total offense, on 53 plays... averaged 2.2 yards per carry...

Meanwhile, the Steelers had 313 yards of total offense, on 76 plays... just from looking at the stats sheet, it looks like Pittsburgh totally dominated the time of possession game (37 minutes to 23 minutes), they just committed too many turnovers (4, to none for the Iggles)...

Of course, forcing those turnovers is a credit to the Iggles' defense, so it ain't all bad... unless, of course, those turnovers were of the braindead variety by the Steelers (didn't get to see the game)... even then, they had just 2 sacks and 3 quarterback hurries in the game, which doesn't sound like a lot of pressure on the passer to me...

From what I can see, the Iggles won't pose much of a threat on the ground this year, they'll be pretty much the same as they have been the last coupla years, a pass-first offense... and I am a good less than impressed with their receiving corps...

Huge mistake to count out a team with a franchise Quarterback, a solid defense, and a competent coaching staff.

Ahh, but while they do indeed have those positives, their RBs and WRs are decidedly substandard... and I think McNabb is all hype...

I honestly see them as the least talented team in the NFC East at this point, if all the teams are healthy... I'm not saying they're a DOG, mind you, just that the rest of the East is better...

And who would that be?? Correll "I've Missed 50 Games In Five Seasons" Buckhalter??

He'll probably wind up on IR the first time the wind picks up at the Vet, and he stumbles across a leaf blowin' across the field... :D

With that dominating performance, Correll now has 12 carries for 39 yards in preseason... that's a rousing 3.25 yards per carry...

Those guys were well on their way to the basement of the NFC East last year until they beat us at Texas Stadium in that huge comeback win. That jump started their season big time.

- Mike G.

1-0 (against the NFCN Champions mind you)?
Well on their way ?
Week 2 ?
Week 4 the Commanders beat the NFC superbowl rep Seahawks.
Have you been drinking ?

Who knows what this season will bring. I could make an argument for any of the 4 teams to win the division. I just hope the teams are healthy and the games are competitive.

You know alot of people are talking about the Eagles residing in the basement....I just have this feeling that it is going to be the Commanders...just a gut feeling even though they went deep into the Playoffs last year.

I was saying the same thing on chat the other night. The eagles actually scare me worst than the Skins or the Giants. The Eagles got to 3 straight NFC champion games with out TO. Although Mike had a good point tonight that the NFC was not as strong as it was then.
