The NFC is a lot stronger now then it was when the BIrds were doing well. And the NFC Beast was sleeping. They do not have a running game and that will end in the end set up McFlabb to choke AGAIN.

Will the Eagles pick up Branch? He could make a difference for them.

Our players that got injured could get hurt again and players that didnt get hurt last year could get hurt....that's any team.

You know alot of people are talking about the Eagles residing in the basement....I just have this feeling that it is going to be the Commanders...just a gut feeling even though they went deep into the Playoffs last year.

Those guys were well on their way to the basement of the NFC East last year until they beat us at Texas Stadium in that huge comeback win. That jump started their season big time.

Agreed.

I was saying the same thing on chat the other night. The eagles actually scare me worst than the Skins or the Giants. The Eagles got to 3 straight NFC champion games with out TO. Although Mike had a good point tonight that the NFC was not as strong as it was then.

And in theory at least they have a weaker schedule than the rest of the division.

Their schedule is weak early. It gets very difficult down the stretch.

They only have two different games than anyone else in the NFC. They get GB and SF, we get Det and Arizona. Not much difference in my mind.

They do get a break with their scheduling though. Their only tough away games are TB and Indy. We have away games at Jax, Carolina and Atlanta.

And no, the Eagles won't go after Branch. A first rounder and a big money deal? Ain't happening.

I agree.

I have no question in my mind Reid and the Eagles are going to attempt to "do it their way", which means a bunch of no-name receivers and McNabb. Unfortunately for them, that only worked two years ago when the rest of the division (and conference) was deplorable.

Hate to say it but i'm with S&T on that one... Do you even think before you write something like that? You can live in a fantasyland if you want but Dallas fans who are knowledgeable about the rest of the league and are capable of rational discussion can do without comments like that to give Boys fans a bad name.

I finely got to see the game, and what scares me the most about Philly is their front 4 on defense. Pittsburgh has a pro-bowl O Line across the board and Philly constantly had great penetration hitting and disrupting Ben. The Philly O Line also looked very good.

Weakness is definitely Receiver, but if somebody steps up that team will be scary because of those lines.

I'm not over looked them one bit.

That is how I feel as well. If they did one thing right this offseason, they got their lines in order. Howard looks to be a huge upgrade from what they had with Hollis Thomas. They would be practically Super Bowl shoe-ins were they not bound and determined to win with no-names on offense. I think that will be their undoing. Had they got a good WR and quality backup for Westbrook, they would be very frightening.

Mick's excused based on the Skins roller-coaster year - they won the first three, as I recall, then lost six of the next 8. That's when they looked to be cellar-bound.

And of course, unfortunately, they finished on a very impressive win streak.

PS Mick's one of the most knowlegable fans of all things Dallas here - he just hasn't committed the miserable Skins record to memory.

There were huge huge questions about Commanders offense and in particular, Mark Brunell. I remember Santana Moss on TV after the Skins got their playoff berth saying him and alot of his teammates pointed to that first Dallas game as the game that showed how dangerous he could be and that the offense was capable of scoring.

I personally think if they dont win that game the way they did against us...their season would have been alot different....Santana Moss dang near said as much.

I think defensive coordinators feared Moss a little but no question...after that game it put him on a whole different level...it would be extremely foolish to think it didnt.

Arizona may not be such a pushover this year.

I honestly see them as the least talented team in the NFC East at this point, if all the teams are healthy... I'm not saying they're a DOG, mind you, just that the rest of the East is better...

I think that is the only thing that is clear-cut in the division at this point.
They don't have a bad team at all and they have some very good players like Dawk, Trotter, Westbrook, LJ Smith, and solid OL and DL play but the rest of the division is just decidedly more talented at skill positions.
Giants: Tiki, Plax, Shockey, Strahan, Oshi, Arrington...
Skins: Portis, Moss, ST, Cooley....
Boys: TO, Glenn, Witten, Roy, TNew...

I agree that they are clearly the least talented team in the division.
Of course...
Giants: an Eli or Tiki injury away from 0-6 division record
Boys: WR or Flo injury away from 0-6
Skins: Portis, Moss, or Brunnel injury away from 0-6
Eagles: Mcnubb or Westbrook injury away from 0-6

Someone is going to get injured and its going to seriously affect the outcome of the division.
But with everyone healthy, hard for me to see the Eagles competing in the division.
