The thing that gets me is now Keyshawn is portrayed as a must have at the WR position by the media, however when he was a Cowboy he was too slow and washed up etc.

Now this is just absurd saying it's just a small upgrade, Keyshawn has had 9 40+ yd plays in his entire career. Owens had 9 in 2004. By the way Keyshawn had 0 40+ yd plays in Dallas... So Owens could very well in the first game surpass Keyshawn in plays of 40+ yds... Very small upgrade what a load of BS

That is how it goes. Current Cowboys have all kinds of flaws, but once they leave, they become great in retrospect and their departures weaken the team.

I don't know if they consider him washed up, but I too noticed how the acquisition of Keyshawn by the Panthers somehow made them more of a complete team. He wasn't viewed that way with the Cowboys, primarily because no one considers Glenn in the same light they do Steve Smith.

But I agree with the essence of your argument.
