Dallas actually. That is from a very long time ago.
Its be nice to see a blow out but I expect a close competitive game.
I think people are getting too cocky with the 6-1 start.
Agreed. We could pretty easily be 3-3.
I really don't want us to play conservatively (play down to our competitor). I want us to go out and play aggressively as if we have our backs against the wall each and every game. We are a much better team than the Commanders and the scoreboard should reflect that at the end of the game.
But it really honestly rarely if ever matters who has the better record when the Cowboys face an NFCE opponent.
Sometimes, it just simply doesn't matter. Talent only get's teams part of the way there. Often times as fans we get so caught up in who wins on paper, we forget that we are dealing with humans who can play at different levels dependent on the day and what is going on in their life outside of football. We forget about that old mantra "any given Sunday" and that cliche is truer now than it has ever been. The separation between good teams and bad teams are minuscule. Sometimes all it takes is the head coach saying the right thing during half time to wake a team up and make them realize talent they never knew they had. These Commanders, like the Giants last week, are playing to remain relevant this year. You can bet they are going to give the Cowboys their best shot. In the end, I don't think it will matter; I believe the Cowboys will win. But it's going to be a battle no matter what.
Often times this is true but it's more of aberration than a norm when it comes to truly dominant teams.
Would you say the Dallas Cowboys dynasty of the 90's was dominant? If so, check your history. Even those Cowboys prior to the cap-era struggled to get wins against otherwise considered bad teams. Sometimes it really honestly doesn't matter. A win is a win, no matter how you get it. Don't get me wrong, I want to see the Cowboys dominate a team both on the scoreboard and the field at some point this year...but I don't think it will be against any of our NFCE foes.
I was both a Cowboys fan in the 70's and the 90's. And I assure you they were dominant. They had their moments, but the vast majority of the time, they dominated.
That was my initial impression of the 90's team, but then I went back and looked at several games and I've got to say there were alot more close games that what I remembered.
They were close at times according to the scoreboard but statistics don't tell the entire story. Just look at my signature and you'll know what I think of stats. It's how they performed, executed and managed the game.

The Cowboys needed that 4th quarter to win alot of games.
