i know i know may seem stupid and im sure we have some people who will say it would be stupid to but im curious. I have never actually cried because the boys lost or anything like that but i remember my dad shedding a couple tears when emmitt finally retired.

edit: meant "the cowboys" in the title"

I recall three times.....not too proud to admit it. One of them because of Emmitt as well.

Never because of a loss but I cried listening to Michael Irvin's Hall of Fame induction.....

(not counting all the times I cried after a loss when I was a kid..lol)

I cried ever since I became a fan in the 70's. Damn I can't believe I said that..lol!

I used to cry more when I was younger but although the tears don't stream as much (Jackie Smith was the last time I cried), I cry on the inside for sure.

I've shed tears on these occassions:

1) 1981 NFC Champ game - loss to the Niners.
2) 1982 NFC Champ game - loss to Commanders
3) 1989 Thanksgiving Day - when Buddy Ryan's Eagles had bounties on our players.
4) 1994 NFC Champ game - loss to Niners
5) 1999 Week 4 loss to Eagles - Irvin hitting the turf and not getting up.
6) 2006 Playoffs - loss to Seahawks, and my first and only permanent banning from this forum.
7) 2007 - Playoff loss to Giants
8) 2008 - Last game - loss to Eagles

Never for a loss but I have for special events. Like Hall of Fame introductions and Emmitt breaking the all time rushing record.

When Tom Landry was fired. But I was in a hospital bed with a kidney stone at the time so it could have been that!

definitely the Dwight Clark catch... was in 4th grade at the time... went to bed without dinner and barricaded myself in my room... still one of the most painful moments to recall

Tony Romo dropping tha snap. I was 15, I was at my friends house and me and my good friend (not a Cowboy hater) were in his den watching the game; my other 5 friends were in the guy's room watching the game. Our TV was a 2 second delay, right before the snap I remember hearing a *yelp* and them all running in to the room while the thing went down. I stormed home, went to my room, put my fist through the wall, and cried (mostly because of the loss, partl because of the pain, and partly because of the embarrassment that I took a football game that seriously) all the way to the emergency room. I shattered (broken) my right ring finger, and my left index finger was fractured. The knuckle above my middle finger completely disappeared, leaving me no movement in my middle finger. I had to miss my last football game of the season, and explain to my coach why I wouldn't be able to play.

Bad, bad memories.

Not that I can recall....but I have gotten into fights, broken up with girlfriends, and quit a job because of them.

Priorities.

When i was a kid i remember crying in bed after a loss. The day i start shedding tears over a football team, then it’s time to fix my priorities. I know some guys think it’s “cool” to cry like a girl at every single moment...not me. Men should be men (of course unless there is a death).
