I met Kenny "The Shark" Gant at a law office in Los Calinas back in 93. And I met Randy White at his restaurant. And Bill Bates at a Hooters. Have you ever crossed paths with a Cowboy?

I was six when I met Larry Stephens. His kids went to my school and he would always pick them up after school. A mountain of a man!

After that I met Tony D, Roger, Ed Jones, Coach Tom, and many more. :)

1) Danny White at his autograph session when he was the starter here.
2) Michael Irvin at the mall; got to touch his superbowl ring; also seen him at clubs a few times.
3) Quincy Carter (when he was the starter) the offseason before he got cut from doing drugs. Saw him at the same club a couple of times so he was probably doing some stuff there.
4) Keyshawn at the bar the week before he signed with Dallas.
5) George Teague came out to watch us play flag football. He was the starter back then and he was "hangin" out with one of our female friends. Also talked to him at the movie theatre with our friend.
6) Dat Nguyen several times when he was at A&M. I saw him when he was a freshman in college, then throughout this college career. He played basketball for his Rockport team in tournaments. He is the cousin with a friend of mine.
7) Kevin Smith a couple of times at seafood restaurants. He got chubby.

I ran into Rowdy once at a dry cleaners. He was dropping off his head after someone dumped a Coke on him.

October 8, 1989. @ Green Bay

At the time, my buddy was the assistant to the visitor's locker room manager who happened to be his father-in-law. Through him, I got to get on the field during pre-game warmups and basically rubbed shoulders with the entire team. Unfortunatly, I had to leave the sidelines during the game though. Of course I had my eye on this hot shot rookie by the name of Troy Aikman (he was hurt and didnt play and they got clobbered 31-17). I did manage to get him to sign a hat, and the back of my sideline pass. After the game, my buddy gave me a box of sweatbands, socks, a pair of sweats and several hats that the players just left behind in the locker room.

The next year, he divorced his wife and lost the job.

I met "Moose" at the casino I work in. Since he is a SU alumni he visits once a year for some fund raising stuff. Each time he comes to the casino, he always looks for me so we can talk. Great guy, even funnier when he is drunk.

I also met Witten last year. He was up in the Syracuse area for an autograph signing and he came to the casino afterwards. He such a polite person and loved that I was a Cowboys fan living in NY.

I work out at a small gym that does core/mma/boxing training and I see Eric Everett and Emmitt Smith all the time. Eric is really friendly but I haven't been able to talk much with Emmitt. I like to give these guys their space because I figure they get bothered all the time. Plus, while I respect their accomplishments immensely, they're just people like all of us, nothing to get all worked up over.

I did tell Emmitt the other day that I sure missed seing him on Sundays and he said something like "not me, I don't miss it at all".

I hear Darren Woodson just joined, but I haven't seen him yet.

I was also lucky enough to score tickets to the 95 Super Bowl from a buddy of mine whose mom works for the Cowboys. As a result, we got to go on all the chartered bus's to & from the game/events. We also got to go to the big after party for the team. I met players & Cowboy Cheerleaders. I was really shocked how small many of the players were. Aside from the linemen, I was bigger (I'm only about 6'-1") than many of them and kind of towered over guys like Scott Case and Kevin Williams. Kevin Williams was dressed like a pimp, but was really cool. Me and my buddy were telling him he saved the season with his huge diving reception he made in one of the last games of the year (can't remember which game it was). He was like "really?, thanks guys" He was really shy and didn't realize how much of an impact he had made.

I was in Phoenix for 3 days and think I got about 6 hours sleep in total, one of the funnest trips of my life.
