Have you met current or former Cowboys? Good experiences? Bad?

Love this thread!

I met "Moose" while we were both at Syracuse University. Barry Switzer, randomly, briefly, on an elevator when I was staying at the same hotel as the team the night before a Nov. 1996 MNF game against the Packers (trip booked through the fan club...who remembers the Dallas Cowboys Weekly?). Was headed down to the lobby alone...elevator stopped, and Switzer walked on. "How ya doin', Coach?" "Good! You?" Joe Avezzano, Mike McCord & Dale Hellestrae on the same trip...breakfast at the hotel...Joe was very personable, and mentioned that he was familiar with the Syracuse area because his sister lived up this way...and thanked us for coming down from New York to support them. Great memory.

Met Jay Novacek back in the 90's. Really nice and seemed quiet. Also in the 70's I met Tony Hill, Too Tall, and Dennis Thurman at a charity basketball event, really nice guys..
I never have met any Cowboys, but my mom(rip) met Jay at some kind of hunting/fishing event in the mid to late 90's. She said he was super nice and really down to earth. She got an autographed picture of him hurdling the guy during the game against the Kansas City Chiefs. I have that picture now, and it's on my wall in my office.

Yes , and met both Tom and Jerry. All good experiences.

Landry and Roger my favorite experiences. Lilly gave us his SBXIII tickets. He played with my uncle at TCU and did business with my father and I.

Met most of the players I had opportunities to do so at training camps and Cowboys Travel Club staying at same hotel on the road.

I nearly forgot. I played against Kevin Hardy in HS. We are from the same city and our schools play every year. He was a beast. Saw him a year or so after he was drafted by the Jags. He at a local bar smoking what looked like a 12" long cigar. Had a full entourage of, I assume HS buddies, with him. We talked briefly. When he signed with Dallas I thought it was cool, but he was only with us for one season.
