Its relative. His refusal to go with what his players are best suited for hurts the unit as a whole.
Tony Romo is a veteran pro bowl QB. Jason Witten is the best TE in football. Roy Williams and Patrick Crayton are proven NFL WR's. Martellus Bennett is an athletic freak who can potentially be a nightmare matchup in the passing game. Barber and Choice are excellent receivers out ofthe backfield, and the OL's MO for several years has been that they are better at pass protection than run blocking.
The linemean, the backs, QB and receivers are all better suited to a run more than pass system which also helps the defense.
Thats your opinion. They've run the ball sporadically for years. Thsi year appears to be better, but Denver and even KC for alot of that game shut down the run because they decided it was in their best interest to load up and take it away.
Look, even beyond that this 53 man roster dictates we should run the ball more than we do, not running the ball does 2 CRUICAL things: it increases your chances of turnovers, and it decreases your time of possession.
The Cowboys are 3rd in the lague in rushing yds per game, lead the league by a wide margin in yds per attempt, are 2nd in the league in rushing first downs, lead the league in rushing plays over 20 yds, rank 12th in the league in rush attempts per game (conversely, they rank only 16th in pass attempts per game) and rank 11th in TOP per game, just seconds outside being in the top-10.
I think you are doing what too many here do, nit picking.
