CBS Head Coach Interview Tracker

This is a good list of the head coach interviews conducted by various teams. Besides the top-level info (which is also very good), it also illustrates the strategies and philosophies of the different teams. What type of candidates did different teams go after? What type of candidates were ignored? How broad was their search?

It also "says" a lot about the individual candidates. Which candidates were highly sought after by multiple teams? Which candidates only had one suitor?

And finally, what does it say about Dallas? It seems that not only is Dallas's list of candidates a very short one compared to the others, it also seems like a very weak list. Dallas really is behind the ball.

What do you glean from this?

Look at how many candidates the Bears, Jets & Jags interviewed in comparison to Booger. Lazy old egomaniac choosing to go with the one with most recent ties to him shows how weak and feeble minded he is. He can’t grasp the concept of “best candidate” and is certainly not an alpha male as he desires to appear as in reality he is far from it.

How can he spin this when he hires Schottenheimer or Moore?

it tells me they probably know upfront who would be willing to take this gig with jerry attatched.
Agreed….and it’s absolutely sickening that it’s not about who is the best coach, or even what the team may want to do in terms of scheme or direction, etc….it’s about who is willing to accommodate Jerry’s antics and work cheap.

The guy who makes all the decisions doesn’t think coaching is important, yet blames them when things go wrong.

It's amazing that the cost of the head coach is even a consideration relative to the most valuable sports franchise on the planet. There's no "cap" on what you can pay your coaching staff. This is one area where Dallas should have an absolute advantage.

Another example. A recent article said that Dallas had the 26th rated training facility in the NFL per a survey of players. Why not the best? Again- no limit on what JJ can spend here.

New Orleans is going Offensive HC looks like by 4 or 5 of those guys on the list.

JAX has a long list, and someone thinks Saleh goes there maybe Campo said something like that.

Raiders are barely doing more than the Cowboys, but I think Tom Brady is going add to the list once his duties are over in the booth.

Either way, by looking at the lists of coaches there are some decent HC options available and for Jerry to have interviewed this bunch he has is concerning. Remember it's been quiet on the Frazier, Saleh and Moore interviews...I don't think they want the job under the stipulations and circumstances.

i wonder if these names were on his "what-if" list...on a index card in his middle drawer.
if they are......wow.
if he didn't have one...you'd think he woulda thought about it.
we'll never know.

Jerry and company is cheap. They spent a lot of money on the stadium but cheap out on everything else except their home grown FA's.

No one is saying exactly what the issue is....convenient for this board...

There are 3 options here based on this boards comments....assuming all this is real...

1) Jerry is demanding the coach know that he will cause drama for money at some point, and the coach has to be on board with it

2) Jerry/Stephen/Grandkids are calling down in game plays every so often and the Coach has to agree with it

3) The coach has to be on board with Jerry sabotaging games for media hoopla

sounds like Jerry does not want a clean run team as it does not make as much money as drama on his media networks

what I glean from this is that our highly paid QB is incapable of learning a new system.
