Heard a rumor on CBS

Miami got him before they got Tyreek. That changed plans

Right but did it change their plans that much that he can’t even get on the field? I just don’t think he is as good as his contract and would struggle to get snaps on a lot of teams.

If the Cowboys are considering trading draft picks for a player, it's not for a receiver. Receiver is not Dallas' problem.

And isn't Washington supposedly nearly ready to return? That's per Jerry, which of course could be just smoke and mirrors, so maybe not.
And Gallup appears to be rounding back into shape, he's had 5 games now, maybe it's wishful thinking on my part but he did seem to be moving better in the last game.

Cowboys need CB and OG more than anything....

If we wouldn’t give him that contract in the off-season, why do we want it now, and give up picks for the privilege?

Miami would need to eat it on this one to the point where they may as well keep him.
They likely wouldn't have done it at all but if they would have it wouldn't have been the same deal because MIA has to eat the 3M SB and the first 2M of this years game checks.
It would have been a 2.5 year deal for DAL with 9M GTD and 16.5M total.

DAL likely would slip next year's 7m base to 6M bonus making next year's cap hit 4M.

So cap hits of:
2022: 2M
2023: 4M
2025 DEAD 4M
