Now that the Skins have a more talented secondary, they are able to use a lot more single-coverage instead of elaborate blitz schemes. What a shock!

it also says that your secondary isn't good enough to stand in coverage for significant amount of time

There is no scheme under which all D-linemen play a 3-tech. That's just nonsensical.

It's just more Skins fans not knowing what they're talking about.

I wonder if he meant 3-gap?

Just go with it, man.

:laugh2: exactly, the only player who will be in a 3-technique stance is one of the DTs

I really couldn't care less what scheme we're running this year; simple, Gregg's blitzes, whatever.

The defense needs to tackle and learn their assignments first.

No, DEs aren't going to play the 3 technique because that makes no sense. I didn't know I had to clarify everything I said to a point where any idiot could understand it.
On most plays, one or both DTs can line up in a 3 technique, but not both have to shoot the gaps between tackle and guard. They can shoot the gap between the tackle like a 1-gap defense or can tie up the blockers (usually the guard and tackle or even the guard and center on occasion) and allow the LBs to flow to the ball. *edit* Sorry, the 2000 Ravens did not employ this scheme a lot.

in summary

you don't know what you're talking about, only one player on the line is the 3-tech
