Actually, this restaurant in Tempe was the target of a lot of protests.

That's kinda ridiculous to me. I could see if it were marketed to kids, but it's not.

I can see where people want places like McDonald's to have better quality food available for kids or better quality school lunches.

The only issue with places like that is if people are getting morbidly obese to a point where they become homebound, etc, then it becomes a burden on a taxpayers when they need the fire department to come cut them out of their house when they need the inevitable medical attention.

I don't know about burgers. But I had a chicken fried steak at Bikinis the other night that had to be over a pound and a half with a quart of gravy.

I didn't know it, but one of these apparently opened in Dallas...to protests.

When people protest restaurants that are focused on being unhealthy, it's either because they're part of some group that just has to get outraged over what other people do, or because they're people who are offended by people who knowingly eat their way into heart disease and diabetes and then take part in employer group health plans and drive everybody else's health premiums up.

Usually it's just the faux outrage.

Personally I am happy about these kinds of places. I hope they open more of them. I would not go there to protest them, I would go there to celebrate and thank them. They are helping rid the world of people that waste my oxygen. :p: ;)

thats a bit harsh maybe some people just want to enjoy that type of food, does that make them morons, the whole healthy green crap is just that, you can be as healthy as superman and guess what you are still going to die. I tell you as i tell the poeple jogging around in their suits and going around telling epople how smart and healthy they are, theres no prize for being the healtiest because you will still meet the maker.

Theres enjoying bad food, than theres doing evil things, one doesnt relate to the other in any shape. Nor should we judge people for being overweight or taking time out of their "healthy" life to enjoy something the country now sneers at. And thats what its becoming lately, looking down and sneering, ive heard many a times, "i would never eat that, i eat healthy. okay thats fine, thats a choice, but you enjoy being poor (have you seen some of the so called healthy food, i used to say the only thing thats thin about that person is their wallet) and trying to eat whatever the government tells you ro what other people tell you, again thats a choice and kudos to you, but to think people are morons because they eat whats deemed "unhealthy" food, just to silly.

Another ‘Heart Attack Grill’ customer collapses while eating ‘bypass burger’

No one can accuse The Heart Attack Grill of false advertising.

A woman collapsed into unconsciousness at the Las Vegas restaurant while eating a "double bypass burger," drinking a margarita and smoking a cigarette.

The unnamed customer was the second in just over two months to collapse at the restaurant while eating one of the famed burgers named after various forms of cardiac arrest. Back in February, another customer was caught on video being carted out by paramedics after suffering a heart attack while eating a "quadruple bypass" burger.

The Heart Attack Grill's owner Jon Basso tells ABC News that the woman is currently recovering in the hospital. Basso told ABC that he himself has eaten at least one single bypass burger each day since his restaurant first opened seven years ago.

"It's a lifestyle issue," Basso said. "We attract the avant-garde of lifestyle seekers."
The place is a trip...if you like old fashioned type burgers where grease drips down your lip with every bite...this is the place

I was making a joke...no need to over analyze it.

I am by NO MEANS a health food kind of guy...I eat what I like. My motto for a good hamburger is, the messier it is, the better it is. A good hamburger is one where you have the juices dripping out onto your fries.

There's a big difference between dying at 50 and dying at 80, and there's also a big difference between waking up every morning feeling good and waking up every morning to the physical pains and struggles that come with poor health.

I don't eat particuarly healthy, but I do work out consistently and remain very active to take care of myself. I think people who don't take care of themselves and have complete disregard for personal health are fools. I judge people who weigh 400 pounds the same way in which I judge a homeless man who squandered all his money away gambling. Does this mean always eat healthy? No, it means having common sense and not cutting years off your life because you are against any idea of healthy living.

I love eating "bad" food, I just don't do it consistently enough to harm myself. My weakness is Buffalo wings with beer.

Everybody I know has been to Sweet Georgia Browns, except me. I keep hearing how good it is, how the portions are so huge, you can't eat it all in one sitting.

I'm gonna try it next time I go to FW.

BTW, it isn't a bad burger, but it's not the best ever by any wild stretch.

Really? Really....

Nobody gives a crap who opens what restaurant or how bad it is for you. One of the top franchise steak houses in the country (Ruth's Chris) serves steaks that are marinading in butter (or did at one point. The last few times I've been there they haven't, now that I think about it.)

If people don't like it, they don't have to eat there, but nobody is going to protest if you want to go eat yourself into an early grave.

you certainly have been hiding your head in the sand if you do not know about the Food ****'s.
Some people need to look around a little more often
