How are blanket statements on ethnicity not bigoted? It's insulting. That's what got Jimmy the Greek fired. Don't delete this to CYA. Let @Reality see it.
There were no blanket statements on ethnicity.

You are pathetically searching for something that is not there. SAD.

You wouldn't know an ethnic blanket statement even if it bit you in the arse.

Duke's is good but I can't tell it from Hellman's and the Duke's squeeze bottle makes it come out looking like a while dog dookie so there is that.. Kewpie is different, got a little more zing to it.

Making mayo is pretty easy as a base for aioli or tartar sauce and mayo, sour cream and horseradish makes a fine accompaniment to grilled swordfish or tuna.

You really do need help, dude. Think about it, you're having issues w/ ethnic food tendencies. That is beyond sad. You should be kicked off the site for inciting racially motivated ideas, not to mention insulting one of the finest posters on the site for absolutely no reason.

You appear to be experiencing cognitive dissonance. Forget the food, It's not about food. It's about blanket statements being made about actual ethnicity. I'm not inciting racially motivated ideas, Couch Coach is. I'm not insulting anyone, I'm being insulted by Couch Coach. Stop kissing his arse just because you think he is "one of the finest posters on this site". That doesn't give him the right to insult me and get away with it.

It’s 2021. Any hint of race or ethnicity is offensive, regardless of intent. Thems the new rules. I quit worrying about it and just hold people to the same standard. For instance, redneck didn’t use to be offensive to me. Now it is, unless used by another redneck. Most other people who use it are typically doing so in a derogatory manner and it’s offensive. They need to be rightfully called out as the bigots they are. What’s good for the goose…

There are just food items that do not hold up well with Miracle Whip due to the amount of sweetness.

Your fight isn't with ksk or me, it's with the people who researched the origins of food and how and why they came about.

I said nothing about you or Hispanics that was borderline derogatory, the test of whether something is racially insensitive. I would never do that here or anywhere else.

You entirely missed the point because you were looking for something to get pissed about and get in someone's face. Why don't you go back, without the attitude, and read that again and tell me exactly where that was derogatory against any ethnic group I mentioned. What do you think? I made up the origins of ethnic foods and how they influenced America and gave us the most eclectic mix on the planet?

Hell, Joe, the Hispanic origin is my favorite, I don't want food that doesn't have a kick and I cook that more than any other. I am thankful for the Hispanic culture and what they've contributed to the melting pot that we call America. There was no insult intended or implied but infer away through your own filter.

And some, to me at least, that are not complete without it. Tuna salad with Miracle Whip and fresh lemon juice to balance that makes it for me. But I don't use it for anything else because of the sweetness.

However, I haven't tried infusing it as I do mayo with dill pickle, sour pickle, jalapeno, Sport Peppers or pepperoncini juice to cut that sweetness.

Think you might be conveniently taking something out of context to get your shot in? There was nothing marginally racist about that post. It is about the origins of flavor and food and how the taste buds of the different peoples brought about some of the foods we enjoy.

There was nothing bigoted about that post and I think you know that but play your game.

Grew up on Miracle Whip (also grew up eating fried Spam, but that's for another day), but discovered as an adult, I much preferred Hellman's.

Thanks to covid (and various stages of lockdown), I started making homemade mayo. Beginning with a fairly basic recipe, i adjusted the ingredients to match our tastes and now have a great "mother" sauce which serves as a basis for multiple uses.

Should have added this is a perfect preseason topic... full of strong opinions, intrigue.

First time I tasted homemade was when my wife made some from scratch tartar sauce and the difference was impressive. It's really good in rotisserie chicken salad too with celery, toasted walnuts and dried apricots or cranberries.

I'm a much bigger fan of fried Spam than I am eating it without any modification. lol

Mayo/Miracle Whip... As I posted before, to me they are two totally different products with different applications. I

It would be like comparing Mayo to peanut butter or Miracle Whip to peanut butter IMO.
