The notion that Sean Payton is some massive upgrade over Mike McCarthy is not supported by his track record. Their HC careers look eerily similar.

Besides, the dysfunction in Dallas is bigger than any head coach. The Joneses aren't changing the operation for any coach. Know your role or they'll hire someone who does.

I think more important, he should demand a new GM (Real Football GM), no press conference before/after games, no radio shows for ALL the joneses , and no press statements or conferences during OTAs, training camp, drafts pre/post etc....

open the check book, sit in the owner's box and zip it for all what matters to the football team or football operations.

He should put all that language in the contract
