I am not trying to create a stink, but the judge that ruled on the Reid's sons, says that the house that Andy Reid is in charge of, has illegal and prescription drugs all over the house, and not a good atmosphere for Andy Reids sons.

Ok, as I understand it, this is Reids home, he is in charge of the house, if he has prescription drugs and illegal drugs all over the house, isnt he in charge, isnt that his responsibility. Remember now, Goodelll says that coaches are to be held at a higher stake of responsibility, and be held accountable. This stuff has been going on with Reids sons and his house the last 8 months or more.

When, illegal drugs were sold to Wade Wilson whom he purchased through a doctor, Goodelll suspended him for 5 games right off the bat, and fined him money. Shouldnt something be done right now dealing with this issue, and shouldnt Commissioner Goodell be acting?

This is probably as good of a place to do this as anywhere. I kind of jumped on some people on this site for posting how Reid must be a horrible father and all that. I was wrong and from the sounds of it he doesn't pay much attention to his kids. I guess he works so much he doesn't get the time, but his wife obviously doesn't either. I just wanted to say sorry for jumping a couple of you on your responses to a previous thread on this situation.

After reading about the judge who said the Reid house is like a drug emporium, and that upon conducting a search, drugs were found everywhere.

I can only summize that if Andy Reid didn't know about what was going on, then obviously the drugs where not hidden in the refridgerator or the kitchen for that matter.

Of course, he is big enough that I suppose if the kids hid drugs somewhere on Andy. He might not have known. :D

I doubt the kid turned bad the second he turned 21. I can dismiss one kid as a bad apple. Everyone knows one. When both of your children end up messed up, I think you have to look at the parents.

You mean Reids 24-year-old son?

Yeah no joke. His sons are 24 and 23, full grown men. He can't be held responsible for what they do behind his back. I get annoyed listening to the espn idiots who continue to ponder whether Reid should lose his job or not over this... Ridiculous.

I was listening to Sal Palatonio on ESPN this morning-I might have heard this incorrectly(and for those of you who did listen to him on ESPN's First Take), but he made a suggestion that MAYBE b/c he somewhat knew and allowed his kids to take these illegal drugs for years, it's possible that he may be doing so with his own players.

Seriously-one thing hit me-when Dawkins had that severe neck injury in wk 2 against the Skins, he was yelling, "I can't move my arms!"(it sounded SERIOUS). And Westbrook's rib injury in wk3 was actually an abdomen tear(even though Reid did his best to make everyone think it was nothing more than a strain).

Pt being that Dawkins' injury looked like a career-ender, and Westy's injury would usually take WEEKS to heal. But, en yet, I'm SURPRISED that they've recovered so FAST.

I'm just wondering if they've been taking banned substances too, and Reid may have known about it at the same time(just judging by how he talks about their injuries over the weeks, I'm suspicious).

They both still live at home. This stuff was happening in his house.

His kids have been doing these drugs since HIGH SCHOOL. And since then, they've been distributing them to minors and even parents.

This may not be Reid's fault, but it's not like these kids decided to turn bad last year, or even last week. It's been an on-going problem for a LONG time.

Local sport talk guy here in Houston brought up how so many were blaming Reid for the actions of his adult kids and how quick some are to blame the parents. He then made the comment that Dungy had a very close relationship with his son and was actively involved with his son life yet his son ended up taking his own life.

Unless both of Reid's children are mentally ill, it's not the same thing.

True but how much control did your folks have over you when you were a teen?

Personally? I wasn't exactly a choir boy, and I was an occasional nutcase, yeah, but I wasn't stupid enough to do drugs(or even distribute it, go on road rage, etc).

I agree it is not the same but there are a lot of parents out there that are good people but kids especially as they get into the teen years are going to pretty much do what they want to regardless if the parents approve or not.

Myself I did as well as using fake ID to get into clubs. My folks are very good people who attend church and are very caring people. They taught me wrong from right but as a rebellious Teen I still was going to do what I wanted

Like I said, I could see it that way if it was one child but both of his children are messed up. I think that reflects on his parenting.

It most certainly takes two in every kind of relationship and that includes parent-child. Neither are blameless.

Inadvertant lack of parenting; it's not Reid laid around and ignored his kid's, he ignored them due to his job. It's one part thankless jerk-offs, one part parental neglect.

Sad, but part of life for millions who don't have millions and media coverage.

Good person doesn't = good parent.

I'll be damned if my kids do "whatever they want" when they're teens. And my parents shared that concept.

I don't think any of us can say for sure 1 way or the other we did not grow up with these kids. We are getting news accounts.

So the fact that Reids sons were stupid enough makes it his fault?
