Fair Weather Fan Guide to the Galaxy says, just whatever team is the most loaded team for that season, then you switch to another team the next. Rinse. Repeat.
Fair enough. You are where I was about 7 years ago. My disappointment has increased and the frustration has made watching this team a dreary fest of incredulity and stupidity. I think your solution may work for me. Focus on other things and if they turn it around, which I don't think they are capable of doing, come back to enjoy. Remember, with Dak at QB we have won 2 playoff games in 10 years. Gee, that was fun.I have tried to root for another team for the past 15 years and was not able to like any other team. However it was easy for me as college football bailed me out and I did not care much for what the Cowboys did. Alabama had a great run under Saban and if the Cowboys made the playoffs, well that was cherry on top of the season, though I knew they would be one and done. I have settled down with the fact that Cowboys are not going anywhere with this ownership, regardless who the coach is. I have not bought Cowboys merchandise in over 8 years. My last Jersey was Witten and it is behind a frame in storage. I also have not wasted a dime in attending any games in the stadium. They are not worth a penny of mine. I might not be able to root for another team, but I have adopted this way to show my disgust with the team, though it is one person and does not impact Jerry at all.
Thank you for that, Mrs. Jones. So, you just root for a franchise that serves mediocrity for 30 years because that is the right thing to do. Good for you. You love misery and mediocre football. Enjoy, cause your are going to see much more of what turns you on in this and for years to come. Love the grovel, baby. Who needs to win?Good for you. There sure are, but we were raised to dance with who brought you there- good bad or ugly not give up.
And you are correct sports aren’t high on the totem pole in life but this is a sports forum for fans. Real fans don’t switch teams and root for a rival
I'm a recovering NY Islanders fan.....it took years of therapy and full colonics to see the lightyep. just let the players & team that impress you be the ones you choose to watch & root for.
I haven't been to a game or gave my money to Jerry since GB. Sorry, try again. Yes I can lose without crying about it and changing teams.Wow. You are upset because the Cowboys suck and have sucked for 30 years and I can't take it any more? That is rich. We should all watch this crap and say, Thank you Mr. Jones, can I have another? You might want to look in the mirror and see who is pathetic. Keep wearing your Dallas baseball cap, eat your $30 nachos, and enjoy getting taken advantage up. You are so far down the ladder that it just keeps you attached at the hip with a losing and embarrassing team. It is obvious you never played any competitive sport. Just a great fan, no matter how bad the product. Enjoy the pity, dopey.
I wish I could do that but I’m a diehard fan will never give up on the Cowboys as long as I live !Fair Weather Fan Guide to the Galaxy says, just whatever team is the most loaded team for that season, then you switch to another team the next. Rinse. Repeat.
Respect!I wish I could do that but I’m a diehard fan will never give up on the Cowboys as long as I live !
Damn it! one day those Washington Generals are going to win it all!I'm a recovering NY Islanders fan.....it took years of therapy and full colonics to see the light

Luckily for myself, as I've gotten older, I don't really give a flying F what anyone else other than myself doesAnd you are correct sports aren’t high on the totem pole in life but this is a sports forum for fans. Real fans don’t switch teams and root for a rival
Yeah, I'm surprised by so many fans calling out another life long fan for simply saying he's had all he can take. One could argue if you were a real fan of the Cowboys, you wouldn't put up with 30 years of Jerry running your favorite sports team into the ground.

I've watched other teams play, and I can attest you're right. When I watch other teams, it's about just enjoying the sport. I'll watch without even rooting for someone. If I do root for someone, it's half-assed. I have a decade of memories with the Cowboys.Yeah crying about your exit and then TEAM CHANGING is the definition of a crap post.
Be a man and step back, but you don't quit for another team. Suddenly you're passionately rooting for a rival? Anyone who thinks they can replicate a lifetime of fandom and core memories is full or crap or completely insincere.
I have nearly 40 years and I'd rather eat dog crap than root for the 9ers. Pathetic, like most your posts.
Yeah it sucks, but we made our choice. I personally cant imagine feeling the same about another team. This is the team I grew up on. Its the team I rooted for with family and friends countless times. There are simply too many memories to replace.I've watched other teams play, and I can attest you're right. When I watch other teams, it's about just enjoying the sport. Yup, and I made a typo. I don't have a decade of memories. I have decades. The first Cowboy game I ever watched was in 1971. Craig Morton was at quarterback.Yeah it sucks, but we made our choice. I figured it was a typo. I imagine I've seen you posting here for at least a decade. LolYup, and I made a typo. I don't have a decade of memories. I have decades. The first Cowboy game I ever watched was in 1971. Craig Morton was at quarterback.
The only money I spend on football is taking the scouts to Wake Forest college games.I don’t but if you’re definition of not putting up with it is posting on a fan message board dedicated to said team…..you lost the plot
