Help me - what team do I root for?

Honestly and all due respect, get lost. You stick with your teams good bad or ugly. If you become numb- ok. But changing teams and then to even suggest a team like the niners….a rival.

Wouldn’t want you in a foxhole. Peace!
I'd be surprised if you actually served to be stuck in a foxhole with someone.

We would always raz each other on favorite sporting teams, but there are more important things in life...

Depends on your talents...............................

That's how I am. Once you choose your team, you stick with them for life. I'm loyal like that. I got to see them win Super Bowls. I'm still a fan, even when Jerry has run the thing into the ground.

Good for you. There sure are, but we were raised to dance with who brought you there- good bad or ugly not give up.

And you are correct sports aren’t high on the totem pole in life but this is a sports forum for fans. Real fans don’t switch teams and root for a rival

Do like me. Try to outlive Jerry. That can be fun. Lol surviving Stephen is another story. Seriously the real Dallas Cowboys ended 30 years ago but I'll be damned if I let dumb and Dumber drive me away.

I am original fan. Eddie LeBaron, Don Meredith, Frank Clarke, Bob Lilly. Loved the 70s and the 90s. Since then it has been less than mediocre, with the same formula for failure. An idiot for a General Manager, who hires feckless head coaches, and runs a soft camp and maintains a loser's culture. It is no coincidence that the formula continues to provide the GM an opportunity to sell the all new Cowboys. This happens with the draft and continues through camp. We always win the Super Bowl in that time period. We play no starters in the preseason and each year the first string looks lost for the first several games. Nothing has changed in 30 years and nothing will because no one is changing a thing. Same losing formula. But wait, the worst GM in any professional league is the owner of the franchise. I give him an A+ as owner. He makes so much money and his franchise value keeps rising, as he provides a mediocre product. Why change that formula? Money just keeps flowing in Jerry Jones' direction.
So, I am done. I cannot root for this hot mess. I need your help. What team do I root for? I live in New England but don't love the Pats even though they manage to put a quality product on the field almost every year.
I am thinking, San Francisco because they have such an incredible coach who innovates his offense every year. It is refreshing and fun to watch. Then there are the Kansas City Chiefs, who were in Dallas when the Cowboys first became a franchise. They were the Dallas Texans and were my first team. When they left I became what I thought would be a life long Cowboys fan. But I am done. I also like the Buffalo Bills because of Josh Allen, but I fear they are next year's team. The Raiders seem to be putting a good team together, but I don't like Las Vegas.
Looking for suggestions and reasons they make sense.
If you are a patsy dumb, I love my Cowboys no matter what, please do not wag your finger at me. You may do what you want to do. I get it, I did it for 66 years and had some great times watching my Pokes. Today, frustration and embarrassment have over come my fandom for this franchise. Help me out, please.
Why the hell should we care? Change your avatar and don't let the door hit you on the azz.....

I can see it's better to go find pleasure somewhere else then lose faith and be miserable. I think the Pats are interesting

I have tried to root for another team for the past 15 years and was not able to like any other team. However it was easy for me as college football bailed me out and I did not care much for what the Cowboys did. Alabama had a great run under Saban and if the Cowboys made the playoffs, well that was cherry on top of the season, though I knew they would be one and done. I have settled down with the fact that Cowboys are not going anywhere with this ownership, regardless who the coach is. I have not bought Cowboys merchandise in over 8 years. My last Jersey was Witten and it is behind a frame in storage. I also have not wasted a dime in attending any games in the stadium. They are not worth a penny of mine. I might not be able to root for another team, but I have adopted this way to show my disgust with the team, though it is one person and does not impact Jerry at all.

Yeah crying about your exit and then TEAM CHANGING is the definition of a crap post.

Be a man and step back, but you don't quit for another team. Suddenly you're passionately rooting for a rival? Anyone who thinks they can replicate a lifetime of fandom and core memories is full or crap or completely insincere.

I have nearly 40 years and I'd rather eat dog crap than root for the 9ers. Pathetic, like most your posts.
Wow. You are upset because the Cowboys suck and have sucked for 30 years and I can't take it any more? That is rich. We should all watch this crap and say, Thank you Mr. Jones, can I have another? You might want to look in the mirror and see who is pathetic. Keep wearing your Dallas baseball cap, eat your $30 nachos, and enjoy getting taken advantage up. You are so far down the ladder that it just keeps you attached at the hip with a losing and embarrassing team. It is obvious you never played any competitive sport. Just a great fan, no matter how bad the product. Enjoy the pity, dopey.
