Excellent!

Rob got a little bit of a raw deal considering Garrett got to keep his job, but I do like thie changes on defense. I bet we're a lot better next year.

We say that every year.

This time I bet we are, though.

A big part of our problem last year was simply beating ourselves. We'll still get out-talented sometimes but if nothing else, I think there will be far fewer backbreaking mistakes next year.

you mean guys running around not knowing where to line up:muttley:

I'm happy. I know a lot of people were bringing up Raheem Morris' name because he's a former HC, but I've never been a fan.

If the tackling improves, and I think that it will, then that's a step in the right direction. Fundamentals are important.

I would have preferred sticking to a 3-4. That's a bigger issue to me than the age of the coordinator.

Same here.

why would a good coach want to stay here in this dysfunctional organization when he could just follow rob to another job???

Good question.

Exactly. That's one smart thing Lacewell said in that interview. Especially with the faster-paced offenses we're seeing now, it's too hard to have 85 different lineups and calls on defense. I'm ready to see this team keep it simple and try to execute the basics well rather than being so tricky.

Yea, we have most of the personel to run either, but no matter how you slice it, we need a DT or a NT to run either scheme
